I was just saying that out loud as I listened. Would they have really been listening had they known Blaze was not long for this world? Had they been able to see the beauty? Probably not. We have so much beauty in front of us every day that we overlook. It's a shame. I thank Blaze for his words and lasting beauty. 63 now and appreciating more and more the gifts of people like Blaze.

Once I heard this song I thought of my father who is 90 years old and how he misses my my Mom who passed away around 21 years earlier. He was my Hero and my brother and sisters. Well he passed away and has gone to be with my Mom where he can get up and fly with her, no more lonely nights R.I.P. Dad

I love the intimacy of this clip, and how you can hear others carrying on their chit chat in the background, oblivious. The noise lessens towards the end as people start to catch on to the quality and sincerity of the performer.

Just hearing his banter at the end almost makes me tear up. It’s so obvious how genuine of a man Blaze was. A terrific songwriter, a captivating presence, and a man who sang how he lived. Im not a religious man, but I hope Blaze is still out there seeing how loved he is by so many.

Blaze use to play at a bar I worked at in 1983-84. This song has been very hard to find since then, as I have moved back to my home of Ky. He had a way with music. Havent heard from him, since then, till the advent of youtube. Thanks for posting.
