Mechanical fuel pump doesn’t like to suck fuel thru the filters its better to push the fuel thru it. I would recommend putting the filter before the carb not the pump.

Have same carb for my truck did exact thing wouldn't stay running adjusted the throttle and worked great

Did this truck come with a 318 or did you put it in it. If not did you have to change the engine mounts. I have a 1962 d100 that I am currently trying to put a 318 into… trying to figure out if I need to change my motor mounts from my slant six if so.

Came with the 318. I’m not for sure if you would need different motor mounts or not, but I would assume so

Yep, just a stock motor. E87 will do.

Way easier to change the fuel filter without the front clip. Now is it easier than taking off the finder to replace said filter? Haha

We actually ended up putting the fuel filter in the wrong place at first, we end up moving it up near the carb.

Heyyy trust me on this never get a Chinese carb get an oem factor carburetor from summit racing and it makes life a breeze i bet ya it will fire up on tge first crank
