4 of the holes on the gasket are smaller so you can actually push the bolts through them and they will stay and hold the gasket in place. So no need for any gasket sealant to keep it in place.

Going to point out that 75% of pan leaks....are caused by improper bolt pattern tightening. You must tighten the bolts down, alternating in a standard pattern or the gasket will ripple....and leak.

My transmission pan had a magnet on the bottom with quite a bit of metal...

Hummmm, so actually the 46RH/RE are basically a 727??🤔...what would be the differences if any, other than it being a Ram as opposed to a Chrysler?? Help me out, anyone! BTW, you've definitely earned another subcriber! i.e.,I've watched many of your other vids on this tranny!

Yes, it's a 727 with an overdrive behind it (and a lockup converter)

Because breaking a bolt inside a casing is a lot more work removing the bolt and possibly having to tap and die new threads in the case.
