I completely restored a 1978 Mobylette last winter 2023 and having a blast riding it this summer. Really enjoyed your videos and hope to see more. Thanks!

Do you have any tips on how to treat and how long to ride/ how to maximize lifespan on using a 1979 mobyletta?!

Yes, just keep up on things that go out like brake pads and keeping a good oil in the gas mix. The great thing about these is if your motor wears out it's super easy to replace the top end and piston with a new one. As long as it's not rusted it should be able to go forever.

do you have any videos or references on opening up and replacing brake pads on these bikes? I have a 1980 Moby and i'm a bit hesitant to open up the brakes

I don’t but its super easy to do. Getting the wheel off the trickiest part. Once it’s off it’s easy to get to the brakes and replace the pads.

I am wanting to switch out the OEM carb on my 1976 49CC Moby to a Dellorto 15.15. Is it difficult to switch? ALSo what group are you referring to that I man be able to get technical information on installing the new carb. Thanks

There is a Moped Forum, "Moped Army" that has tons of info. It's super easy to change out the carbs. Just unbolt and bolt on. You will need an adaptor though.
