I have one. Love it. It has some things that need tweeking off the bat. Brakes tend to drag ever so slightly. The battery cover is not user friendly. Battery doesn't last quite as long as you'd expect. But other than that I can get around town on a single charge fairly easily and ride to work on half a change there, top off and ride back. The faster you go, the less miles you get out of a single charge. You can go up to 70 miles if you go slow (20mph), or you can go 10-12 miles at 50-60mph. Suites my needs. I get a lot of compliments on it too.

Can you charge by pedaling? Would be super useful.
@MopedProblems5 жыл бұрын
With current technology, this would be super impossible. When I was a kid, there was a science museum in CT that had an exhibit about producing electricity (I am sure there are similar exhibits at other museums)... it featured a pedal bike with a generator attached, allowing you to pedal and power up a selection of different items. The single light bulb was easy, but the analog TV set was impossible to light up, no matter how hard or fast you could pedal. Taking that into consideration, charging an average ebike takes 3-6 hours to charge... using a wall outlet... that outputs a consistent 120 volts. Doing this by pedals would be like that science experiment, at a sprinting pace, for 12 hours.

I want one so bad and I get that eco mode runs on 750 watts (which is legal and in regulation) but IV been researching and the law says "Electric bicycles with motors of more than 750 watts are technically motorcycles according to the law and require Class M licenses and helmets."(Henshaw and Henry,PC , California electric bike laws) And the motor is like 6 times that. So ur sitting on a 7000w "motorcycle" and try explaining I was only using 750w mode to a cop on a bad day after he fought with his wife all night with no makeup sex. That's a very slippery slope. And in my case my license is suspended and that's a fine line to walk when you could face jail time and 600-1000 dollar fine for driving a vehicle on a suspended license. Not to mention police will impound the thing and you might not get it back cause it's in the gray area on what the thing really is. Impound is 300$ to impound and a VERY possible 30 day hold for suspended liscense (maybe required idk the exact law).when it's 50-100 dollars a day (my experience it's 100 a day). Then u owe the tow company more than it's worth. Lol the end. So as badass as this thing is I'm thinking of getting the cityscrambler it's just like a super 73 but has gears and an option for a longer battery life and is within all laws of California. And for the record I'm not a sqaure by any means I'm just tryna make the right choices to get my life back together and protect myself so bad things don't keep happening to me.
