I actually love that Stephanie was made to look like this intimidating person but she's one of the nicest and realist people in the town. I often relate to her because I'm pierced and modified and live in a churchy town where people have something to say almost all the time. I'm actually a really sweet person when you get to know me. Other than that I'm very quiet and timid.

as someone who grew up in a very conservative community, all i heard growing up was "they'll tell us apart by our love", but those people's "love" never was genuine. people like stephanie are those that helped raise me, and gave me hope to actually keep going.
