Very interesting, requesting you to bring an explained long video for this dilemma, also understand coming with this limited time video attracts more viewers because, people this less time consuming. And increasing video time means decreasing the people of short time concentration, but it would be great if you also come up with explained video and in more elaborative way. 🎉

Ethical decision making involves moral intuition and moral reasoning. The former is the instant and automatic reaction to any situation whereas the latter is the application of logic to moral questions. Eg. Crossing a zero traffic road in redsignal. Our intuition says no vehicles on the road, just cross it. Our moral reasoning says, No. Because it affects the integrity of my character. Differences: 1. Moral reasoning is conscious deliberation of right and wrong in decision making whereas moral intuition is an automatic response. 2. Moral reasoning involves logical analysis of ethical principles, duties and virtues whereas moral intuition is more of emotional response to ethical decision. 3. MR is principle based inorder to achieve consistency in decision, but MI is context sensitivity. 4.MR is useful in solving complex ethical problems but do not focus on emotions. 5. MI relies too much on emotions leading to prejudices that affects ethical decision making. A right moral decision involves moral intuition as well as moral reasoning and has to be solved on case to case basis .

Reasoning refers to the ability of thinking something based on the logical and factual analysis whereas intuition is the automatic and immediate response arising out of the subconscious mind. When we add the template of moral values and virtues to the above definitions of reasoning and intuition, it becomes moral reasoning and moral intuition respectively. To point out the differences between the two : 1. Moral reasoning is an deliberate act of our consciousness whereas moral intuition is an automated subconscious response. 2. While moral reasoning is logical analysis, moral intuition is an emotional response. 3. Moral reasoning is principle driven while moral intuition is context driven. To substaniate, the case of an old lady who fulfills the exact criteria for which a social welfare scheme is formulated but she gets excluded because of lack of documents can be taken. In this case, a sense of moral intuition should be sprinkled over the base of moral reasoning to help the lady out. Thus, a perfect blend of both moral reasoning and moral intuition is necessary for ethical decision making. I hope nothing more nothing less you said is written sir ✌️
