Very well written and your editing as always is top notch. Morality though is a tricky topic to discuss do to its subjectivity, many would argue they arnt breaking laws and some that they are technically not lying. Sad to see how desperate some are for attention. Once people had to struggle to be seen at all to show their talents, now every one can be seen only to find they dont have any at all. This isn't new though. You mentioned fail compilations, those are essentially the same as Americas Funniest Home Videos, which once that started up people were flocking to set up their own "Funny accident videos". Many others had an influx of copy cats predating youtube, with thinks like Jackass creating swarms of amateur stunt devils and back yard wrestling matches, along with a long list of emergency room visits. It just seems in human nature to copy the trend and try to gain glory on a path that looks to be simple, Look at the gaming and film industry after all.
