It sounds very Morbid Angel- but like it belongs on Altars of Madness.. if anything Morbid Angel kind of took what Slayer did and made it more death metal, so in that way, comparing Beneath The Remains to this is appropriate, as Sepultura had gone a bit less death and more thrash on that masterpiece.

Not quite, this track was on their first intended full length, Abominations of Desolation back in 1986. The drummer at the time was Mike Browning, he left the band after an altercation with Trey. This is also explains why there are no blast beats in the track, Pete didn’t originally play on it. Furthermore, this is Trey doing vocals, not David Vincent.

This was the first death metal song I ever heard, or at least really sat down and listened to. Some guy on a now dead message board in the early 2000's was complaining that Korn ripped off the breakdown riff on their song "Ball Tongue," and still not understanding why all the board metalheads back then loathed nu metal and didn't consider it to be real metal, I wanted to know how this was superior to its nu metal counterpart. I remember thinking "This is just happy-sounding hardcore punk with random ass solos that don't fit in anywhere, and the production is horrible. I guess I'll stick with nu metal." ...And then I heard the rest of the album.

Utter non sense as the inverted pentagram with inverted cross and 666 is still present. So why they censored that symbol? Makes no sense what so ever for a band that already has quite blashemous logo. I would even argue that occult/blasphemy theme is one of the main characteristics of Morbid Angel.

@marco_silveira6 жыл бұрын
"To achieve super-high volume, the sound waves were compressed against the "audible ceiling", often limiting the difference between the peak and average levels in the music. This meant that the disparity between the loud and quieter elements in the recording (known as the "dynamic range") is significantly reduced. Earache's idea of "Full Dynamic Range" vinyl reissues is to counteract the "Loudness War" and ensure that fans hear the music as it was intended to sound - pure and organic audio pressed straight to 180-gram vinyl from the original studio analogue or DAT tapes, many of which were stored for 20+ years. This concept is not designed for the casual music fan that might only listen to albums on their phone or iPod, but the real music enthusiasts who like to put a record on a turntable, sit back and absorb the sound waves at the optimal quality, experiencing the warmth and depth to the music as it was originally intended; the instruments leap out of the speakers."
