The fact that nothing has been delt for a year in the Miller situation is terrifying. The movie has been delayed for so long, they had plenty of time to recast. It's so scary that he was given this much time to get to the point of threatening a nice couple, aghh it's horrible.

I agree. Maybe if WB had said something then maybe they would have gotten some help for whatever is going on if its to do with mental illness. Or maybe someone else who didn't beat up random people would be playing the flash. The world is full of good actors, I don't know why hollywood clings to the ones who do scummy things. Fame sells tickets but surely there's a point where the bad press hinders sales, right?

@@hcstubbs3290 I'm talking about public backlash/outcry, not the morality of what these people have done. It's weird how WB also got Ezra to act as a different version of the Flash from an alternate universe. Couldve easily just cast another actor for that role as a contingency and make him the new Flash for future movies if they wanna get rid of Ezra. Because the video of Ezra choking the woman came out before the The Flash even started filming so WB knew there was a lot of red flags with him already.

Disappointing that mason was seemingly justifying Will smith’s actions by saying Chris rock was mocking his wife’s physical features, which isn’t really the case. He didn’t point at her head and go “haha baldy”. He compared to g.i Jane. The joke was incredibly tame, whether she has alopecia or not. Will Smith is a loser for hitting the comedian on stage telling jokes, but also for the fact that after he slapped him he just walked back to his seat. He knew Chris rock wouldn’t do anything back. He knew he had about 5 inches in height and 40lbs on him too. Embarrassing display.

@@extremetoast5723 her being completely bald is most likely a personal choice of hers though. I know several people with alopecia, and none of them are completely bald. Honestly, the joke wasn’t about her alopecia at all, it’s the fact that she has a buzzcut looking haircut from where he is standing and that’s the haircut in gi Jane. I know someone very close to me with alopecia and she honestly would’ve laughed if somebody said that to her.
@andrewshandle
@andrewshandle 2 жыл бұрын
@@ethanfranzen6145 But the reason she has the hair buzzed _is_ the Alopecia, there just is no denying that, so it's really spitting hairs (pun intended) when you say it's not about the condition, it's about the results of the condition. If she had no hair because of Chemotherapy and he made the same joke it would have been thought of as mean spirited, and he'd have never have gone there. Smith was in the wrong of course, and it's not Rock's fault that he didn't know she had the condition (she really only started talking openly about it recently), but the reason Rock apologized is he was making fun of someone's disease even if he didn't know it.
@andrewshandle
@andrewshandle 2 жыл бұрын
There is no denying he was making fun of her lack of hair, the fact that he didn't know the cause of it doesn't really make the joke better, it only makes Rock not look like a dickhead. To understand, imagine if she had chemotherapy and Rock made the same joke? So it's not that the joke was tame or not, it's that Rock (who's previous jokes had just bombed) was looking for a way out and made what is a pretty bad, unfunny joke even _if_ Pinket-Smith didn't have a condition. Smith is an idiot for his reaction, and I imagine there's clearly some other stuff going on in his head, but life isn't a zero sum game and two things can be correct at the same time: 1) It was a tasteless joke that really could have been hurtful and 2) Smith greatly overreacted.

I really wish Sony would lose their spiderman stranglehold. Back when homecoming first came out there was a glimmer of hope that things might be on the up, but it’s clear Sony is just gonna keep doing Sony.

Institutionally, I don't think the Oscars know who the winners will be until the envelopes are opened (and they're held by Price-Waterhouse, the accounting firm). The reason for this is how badly the Oscars f*cked up the Best Actor award last year, putting it last (where it has never, ever been before) out of absolute certainty that Chadwick Boseman would win and this would be a huge dramatic moment to end the show on. And then, as we all now know, BOOM, Anthony Hopkins wins, he's not even in the audience to receive the damned thing, and the show's stuck with a big, flat nothing of an ending. But, if they had known Hopkins was one of the winners that evening, there's ZERO chance they end with Best Actor. So, while that was a disaster, it did seem to attest to the Oscars being completely unaware of who the winners would be until announced on stage. / see also the MOONLIGHT fiasco...

All true, but Smith was the favorite, so let's just say it was probably a very odd situation to say the least. It's unlikely they had a contingency plan for the best actor favorite walking on stage and slapping someone. ;)

Maybe the Spider-man in this universe is Silk, Spider-Gwen or Ben Reilly? Claim those too before Sony does.

A way they could get people to watch The Oscars again is to copy The Game Awards and stuff it full of trailers and announcements (and essentially adverts) 'cos that's the only reason people watch TGA lol

That’s a good idea, they could also have special interviews with artists there about their upcoming/past movies or set up short discussions between, say, Hollywood’s hottest horror directors to hear their takes on the genre. Something that you would want to watch instead of just look up the results of later. They’ve got all these famous people in one place and they just film them sitting in a room all night

I rarely comment because they usually go unnoticed, BUT I believe they should make the Sony-verse Andrew Garfield’s universe. Maybe in the Venom 2 post-credit scene, Venom is intrigued by Tom Holland Spider-Man because he’s sorta familiar with a Spider-Man in NY but unfamiliar with their secret identity. In the NWH post-credit scene, Eddie Brock isn’t outright confused by Spider-Man’s existence but the existence of so many superheroes in general. Sony should also rate these movies R. Morbius and Venom could be as violent as they need to be, and we could get an ASM3 where we get an Andrew Garfield after NWH with flashbacks from before when he stopped pulling his punches. Nothing outwardly violent because it still is Spider-Man, but scenes of him drawing blood and going too far could be interesting.

The wings do NOT look like the ones from Webb movies, TASM fans are just high on copium after NWH. Oscorp wings were way smaller, did not feature any circular lights and there was no helmet. Here Keaton wears basically the same tech as in Homecoming with slight alterations, just enough to show it's not literally the same but not more. It's kinda like how MCU updates characters' costumes for new toys in each flick. Helmet is near identical, just more angular and recolored, giant blue wings lights are present but yellow, the size of the wings is still massive. It has nothing to do with TASM. The only way it could be tied is through even more unpredictable Sony bullshit, but to anyone sane it should be obvious those two sets of wings are different

So I was watching a video on The cosmonaut variety hour about Dr.Mick himself and he showed a clip from the trailer that had Tyress Gibsons character WITH A ROBOTIC ARM. So it was filmed and then completely canned, just like almost everything in the trailers. Also could SPUM be a good place to introduce the public to a Ben Riley Scarlet spider? I know it's a leap but what are the odds we would get him anywhere else
