I just bought the Mordax. It’s absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately I’m not it’s intended end-user. I didn’t understand much of what these brilliant guys had to say. Coincidentally I think my house had radon and lead paint when I was growing up. But the pretty colors on the Mordax are trippy and they are helping me understand my waveforms better.

Love the part about understanding waveforms better. I'm new to modular and although I can hear and understand more basic LFO shapes, the Data has been absolutely amazing for figuring out stuff like sharktooth and beyond. Just ordered a Worng Vector Space, and I feel like I NEED the Data to figure out what's going on.

8 years later, let me dream aloud even as this is already a gem of a device : We need a higher resolution display (with zoom and cursor) ; ideally with an external monitor function. Capacitive touch input would also be a plus. The FFT and Spectrograph need a cursor to measure partials and harmonics. The waveform generator would benefit from an arbitrary function option (basically, a wavetable) ; as well as AM and FM (linear, exponential, and TZ). Also, as other oscilloscopes, more math functions for signal analysis (for voltage - min/max, mean, etc / for input signals - booleans and arithmetic, zero crossings, peak-to-peak measurement). The Tuner would support temperaments (Meantone, Natural, Harmonic, Werckmeister, Kirnberger, Valotti) as well as A=415 or 392 Hz.

Guys so for example could I insert 4 lfo s on the left side pass through ins and monitor...and at the same time have data send it’s oscillators out on the right side outputs flip back and forth to view as needed on the screen ? So question is can data multi task as I have described ?

Can you use multiple modes at the same time? For example, controlling a digital VCO on channel 3 while monitoring 2 waveforms with the oscilloscope on channels 1+2

Looks like an inertia or fast scroll feature on the selector knob (shown when adjusting scaling/offset/frequency, etc.) is not quite there yet?

Correct, currently we're still working on perfecting the encoder handling. The goal is to have it included in this first firmware update, which adds the XY scope, minimal display mode, scope drawing optimizations, and the oscillator triple wave folding (see our NAMM 2017 booth video, on our site, for an overview of those features).

+Chris Meyer "limited pre-order means" that we are manufacturing a limited number on the first run. Prices could always go up due to things outside of our control, but it is not our intention to do so.

Thanks ditte! Specifically which part of the video (time) are you referring to? It could be in part due to filming the screen, which we still haven't found the most ideal method for.

I am suprised that i can not find any demo video (not even yours) which tells me about the internal clock and how previse i can set it up. Is it 0.01 BPM steps?

With this module you can learn a lot about modular if yu're a beginner! Sadly its very expensive for us here in Europe,but anyway...Thanks Mordax people!
