Great job walking thru this scope/tuner!...ordered one black friday

thanks! I still love mine :)

I had this on pre-order for about six months, got it immediately upon release, built it that afternoon- and have used it just once since then because I was intimidated by it. This video helps A LOT. Thanks!

I was so excited when these were finally in stock. I feel so much more informed about my patches now.

Totally agree - and the wave outputs are so handy as extra LFOs on my semi modular synths!

Man that was a good review! You'res was better than Loopop's - and that name check was not a dis to him but a serious compliment to you. Well everything i needed to know you addressed, excellent work.

Wow wow! That IS a serious compliment… Appreciate the feedback!

great video, can you use this as a source for a 3v trigger in order to calibrate eurorack mdules?
@rochefskyАй бұрын
Yes I think you can… the WAVE mode outputs two separate channels - and each can adjust the wave type (oscillator, LFO, noise, Pulse, envelope), volume in Volts, cycle mode (continuous, 1-shot, etc), wave type (linear, exponential), time, shape, duty…
@quantickjumps Жыл бұрын
It has a stereo input. So you can connect 4 mono signals with splitters.

Yea! Very true - have to look again if I described that incorrectly - thank you!

That shirt is awesome! Now you just need a cinco MIDI Organizer

you noticed my shirt FTW!! long story behind that brand... but... I looked up Cinco Midi Organizer and not getting why I need that.... hmmmm

Hello, I have a question. How high can the oscilloscope go for the calibration?
@rochefskyАй бұрын
Looks like the vertical range is 10 millivolts to 10 Volts

Is it possible to turn off the grid overlay?

99% yes - but I’m not in front of it at the moment… manual is online if you want to be sure

If I connect the NTS-2 to audio out of my mixer a) I NEVER get a such a clear signal as it's not in the 5V range like your CV out, but more in the 0.01 region with loads of noise and b) it creates a ground loop as the USB power is not isolated, so I have to use a denoise cable with a transformer to use the oscilloscope at all. Over all, I'm very disappointed (and sold the book for 25€ on Reverb as I wanted an oscilloscope, not a book). I'd rather buy a different oscilloscope.
@rochefsky11 ай бұрын
Great points! I found using a power brick helped with the usb noise - and yeah, I think more people would buy the nts2 without the book if it were $40 cheaper that way…

I’d like to analyse some sounds and then try to recreate then using a FM synth (Opsix in this case). So I think I’d use one input for the reference wave and use the second input and tweak the Opsix until I get near wave #1. Can I do this with that device? So the inputs would come from a daw/audio interface and synth output and none of that modular/ 5V or so.
@rochefsky Жыл бұрын
That sounds completely possible - just two inputs with the scope set to “separate-2” - cool idea… only challenge will be that source wave likely won’t be as clean and tidy as a sine, saw or square and still might be really hard to match - but using your ears first and seeing the difference visually is still pretty cool

@@rochefsky thanks. It seems that I’m a little late for buying the nuts-2. There are nearly none on the German market.

@@rochefskyNo, I love that the oscilloscope is powered by two double A batteries (potentially yes).

Why - to cut down price?
@TotallyNuss Жыл бұрын
Behringer needs to get on this right away. They could make it for well under half that.

$220?! That’s a lot considering it’s a kit and what it is

with two LFO generators, scope, tft, tuner and small size, I haven't seen anything better for the price - maybe soon they'll show up pre-built on Reverb/Ebay

I would love to try - software suggestions? Would that include the wave gen out (analog?) or digital gen, with all the parm control? I have not coded oscillator generators (not to mention graphing the waves etc… I’m just comparing to other products I’ve seen - the $230 was worth it to me.
