Mordhau Crossbow Gameplay - Trying Third Person! (chill commentary)

Today's Mordhau gameplay video features my Pilgrim Tom build that I made for Turkey Day. He's returning after a brief time because I want to test out the Crossbow using Third-Person Perspective. So, today's Mordhau Crossbow gameplay video will see the back of my big pilgrim hat a lot...and hopefully some slick shooting! Let's see how I do!
One of the first things I noticed about using the Crossbow in the third-person perspective is the fact that the reticle isn't reliable in the same way it is when I'm in first person. I had to quickly adjust my angle when aiming because I noticed my shots were regularly going high...which is strange for me since usually my shots go too low, if they are off.
However, playing with the Crossbow in Mordhau in third-person gave me a bit more security since I could see my player model and know how much cover I was working with and could better plan a reload nest.
What weapon should I try in third person in Mordhau next? So far I've done the Executioner's Sword, the Spear and now the Crossbow.

So I’ve never really used the bow or crossbow but I really wanna get into it (level 142) do you have an tips for starters?

Awareness is key. Enemy players will go FAR out of their way for an easy archer kill, so you always want to be looking around between shots and generally keep in mind what avenues an enemy will likely try to approach you from and keep those spots in your line of sight as much as possible. Enemy archers are your priority (use the huntsman perk) but don't get into an archer duel if you can help it. You'll end up wasting arrows and run the risk of being one-shot. Take shots at unaware archers...if they know you're shooting at them, just disengage and approach them from a different angle. If you can stomach it, lol, shooting enemy horses is a great way to support your team and they make for easy targets (the horses themselves, not always the rider). If you decide to use the Crossbow, reload behind something that is taller than you. A good archer with a longbow will see you duck down to reload and loose their arrow at the spot your head vanished from, so it connects as soon as your character stands up from reloading. By reloading behind something taller than you, you don't have to worry since your head isn't peeking back up. Hope that helps!

@@XSCSCGS Adopt a hybrid flanking playstyle and class, stay on the fringes of battle flanking and use the Xbow as a 'finisher' on bloodied dudes. Very easy to get high K/D ratio like this if you play with awareness and just a bit of skill/speed.

If you ready an arrow you get a speed debuff so either run around with your sidearm or only ready your bow when you need it.

As a longbower, I like to move around in third, and fight and shoot in first - the awareness you get from third is amazing but you lose precision. Great video!

you say crossbow shott upwards?, fun fact: in real life crossbows shott al ott upwards if thery are old, so mordhau kinda accurate
