Pathfind loved the game but I kept running into a glitch where my saves were correupted... killed my love for it. Thankfully I still got Baldurs gate 1 & 2 and Dragon Age to fill this itch. Curious have you tried playing Vampire Masquerade Bloodline or Battle Realms Winter of the wolf ?

I played both and I really like these games. First played Bloodlines sometime in 2017, as a Toreador with a focus on blood abilities, melee combat and guns. I've played Battle Realms from 2002-2006. I clearly remember that brutal solo campaign of Battle Realms, especially the later missions. It was a ton of fun in Multiplayer though.

I did at the beginning of this year. I'll keep it short but this is my quick review of it: - Archolos is the first "real" new entry in the Gothic franchise since Gothic 3, arguably Gothic 2. It knows what it wants to be and achieves that with flying colours, a linear-designed Gothic that wants to combine the best of what Gothic 1, Gothic 2 and the modding community had to offer (referring to extra content, the abundance of new animations etc.). - The gameplay feels like an evolution of Gothic 2's mechanics (for example, aiming at body parts with ranged weapons) and I still love the one-handed control scheme. The world is stunningly beautiful and fantastically designed, I can't praise it enough to be honest, one of the best I've experienced in recent years, to me, only rivaled by Breath of the Wild. Whether it's the fact that for the first time in YEARS in an RPG, I actually felt in danger of anything again, was a magnificent re-experience. That permanent potions receive a secondary tab in the statistics is such a simple change yet I never want it any other way from now on. Many of the new quest-lines keep going almost throughout the entire game, something that G2 has done and which I still love today in any RPG, if done well which is the case here. I could go on about all the positive little changes but there would be too much to cover in this post. - The story, although I've heard many dislike its ending, is different for a Gothic game but I enjoyed myself. Ironically, the ending (all the crap I pulled coming back to bite me) I liked, very bitter-sweet but could have been a little more fleshed out, despite heavy foreshadowing. I was most interested in the lore-stuff and the central conflict between Rhobar's rule and the desire for independency. - Two things I love especially about Archolos: The scripted events, that make the world feel more alive than ever (especially in the city) and the music, oh man, the music. The first day that OST was released, I immediately downloaded it and threw it on my MP3 player. I love the new remixes but also the new tracks like "The Swamp", I just love the OST in this game. The polish voice acting was also excellent! Not everything was enjoyable though. - The inventory (both G1 and G2 variants) is an absolute mess. The inventory UI worked previously because G1 and G2 had, relatively, few items. Archolos adds hundreds more, destroying the UI. - Teleporation runes. I know why they changed it, that you can't teleport outside of teleporation circles anymore, but here's the thing: There were other solutions for this and they went overkill with this idea. This game has too much running and walking, eventually I never left town without at least 5 speed potions in my inventory because it was nearly unbearable. - The plot, at times, made little sense for the presented context. If we would cut the thieves' camp out of the game, we would have lost little to anything in terms of plot, speaking of which: - The one portion of the story which I really disliked was the thieves' camp in chapter 3. To me, it didn't feel like it belonged in this story and that the plot was more busy trying to make up excuses for you to stick around, rather than progressing anything of substance. The fact, that unlike NotR you can't just kill everyone/the leader and be done with it, made me a little annoyed too. Unkillable NPCs are an actual problem in this game. Solving it by giving it the Morrowind Treatment (aka you killed a plot person, you softlocked your playthrough) could have done a lot, I think. - Damage Sponge enemies. I love the combat, I love the various enemy types, I love bounty hunting and exploring. What I hate is when a game wastes my time with HP sponges, despite me proving for three minutes straight that I can indeed handle myself, I have understood the enemy and I would really like NOT to spend MINUTES repeating the same tactic until the same result is achieved. Other than that, what I can think of right now anyway, I loved the game. To me, it would be a 6/10 in terms of a numerical score (on my scale it would mean that this game is higher than average in terms of quality) but I'd defintely recommend anyone to at least Take a Look at it. I think even those that haven't played Gothic 1 or 2 before might find Archolos to be a good entry point into the series. Overall, I was blown away by this mod in a positive manner, and I'm looking forward to, perhaps if I have the time, going for a 2nd playthrough near christmas. ^^

A very interesting and respectable review, one that l can't agree with most points but l can respect and see the points behind them. There is one problem l have seen in some Unity games like the Pathfinder, perhaps it is my lack of Memory(Have 4GB) but l see that it takes a lot of time(more than 15 seconds) to load a simple level. Even with an SSD(SATA), l know it is the slowest of all but l have experienced games where they took more than 15 seconds to load(average is 30-60 seconds), every single loading scene and sadly, it breaks all kind of flow and will to play the game. The 2 Pathfinder games(this and its 'sequel'),Rome Total War 2(not a Unity as far l know) and Pathologic 2(constant stuttering), are to me, my examples of the worst loading games l have seen. Taking extreme amount of time to play. l wanted to know though, what are the parameters that influence loading time? Is it mainly the Storage Disk and RAM that influence loading times? Is it also the optimization of the game?

Heyho, thanks for telling me! I appreciate it, but I got to follow it up with brutal honesty: Unfortunately, at most I'll be able to make one more video this year, that being a review of Brigand: Oaxaca. After that video is done (whenever that will be, but I made a promise), the future of this channel is questionable at best. Due to inflation, war and other fun stuff, I currently prefer to spend my time in peace and quiet rather than use the few hours I have to myself to record, write and edit videos for a platform, which I loathe. Though to clarify: I like the community on this channel, but I have grown to hate KZbin/Google as a company. Tldr: It'll take a while for the next video, how long I don't know or can tell, and it may end up being the last video on this channel.

@@AksamRafiz I'll think about it, the main problem in that regard is that I'm usually never online for longer than 5-20 minutes per day, so I wouldn't be able to properly oversee that all the rules would be upheld. I'm specifically talking about stuff like illegal adult-movies, death-recordings (by shooting or otherwise) and the like. That would also increase the stress and work-load in my life, which I try to avoid atm. I could "select and choose" people who would do that for me, but considering the size of this community, that would make me look incredibly lazy and uninvested. The question of trust is another matter. For now all I can do is this: You are not the first in this community to ask for discord-access, and I am hearing all of you. It just doesn't fit into my life. If I made a community-discord-channel, I would like to play a part in it. The way my life works right now, I would open one and it would be dead on arrival on my end. :(

Probably never, unfortunately. My reasons are plenty but the three most important ones are these: I dislike Google/KZbin as companies and I'm struggling to justify, why I should continue to support them. I have a lack of time and motivation, this reason is probably the most relevant. I'm doubtful that I could review Elex 2 without an extreme bias, not in my current mindset. I honestly don't care about the game. Everyone who has played, and whom I asked, warned me of bugs and plenty of other problems, for which I currently do not have the patience for.
