I always enjoy making these jump/stunt videos. So much fun watching and editing all the footage. Thanks everyone for watching. 👍

I think glueing some small nuts to the inside of the front end of the car would also help level it out in mid air as well the jumps look great the original car had concrete in the frame to help with leveling process again the car and the jumps look great

Watching the General Lee jump in small scale brought back great memories of the show. The car looks amazing even as a kit body, the only thing missing is the theme song!

If only this technology and your skill were available back when the show run. Would have a lot more chargers around today. Looks fantastic! 😁👍

Lol, in one of the later seasons they did use models instead of real cars for some of the jumps. It is a shame that so many Chargers got wrecked.
@Jasonalexander-l7e2 жыл бұрын
Not really because only a little over 300 were used in the show. That didn’t even put a scratch in the amount of them that were made. most of them were taken out by rust.

Thanks for the smile and chuckle I got watching this! NICE FREKIN JOB!! First time I have seen the Dukes depicted in a much smaller scale 👍 From the wooden gates to the dust trail following the car into the air. None of this was accidental!! Congratulations Dude 🤠

Man! I know is hard to scape home to do this elsewhere cause the shed is killing the realism BUT big credit your creativity and improvements. There were a few that you nail it right on. Also you did justice by adding the black tail color, Thank you I know a few requested this including myself lol. This takes time to do so hey we appreciate your entertainment. 👍

I could watch these jumps all day, and I'm 100% in agreement with your decision to cut to another scene for the car driving away. I'm building some 10th scale General Lees specifically to do the same kind of jumping, and I'm going so far as to make a hero car and a jump car specifically to duplicate the methods used on the show, and the cut to the "hero" car driving away will be part of the authenticity. I can't wait to see your next round, and if you're interested, please consider checking my page for the 10th scale cars and once they're done, some jump videos too.

if you want to be perfectly scale you could put some sort of weight in the trunk to make the charger nose up in the air, might land bit better, great vid tho :)

They did use about 300 scale RC models all hand built, but they still had to use real chargers to do a lot of the stunts. They used 320 chargers ranging from 69-70. Most were 318 cars..

Im a HUUUUUUGE Dukes fan, and it would appear you have a lot of fun making these cool vids. Thanks for sharing them. I dont think its cheating at all if you cut from 1 camera angle to another during the jump to the landing. As with the real car during filming, many were shot with 2 different chargers as the jump car would sustain damage during the land, and a 2nd car was used to film the landing in a different angle. Im sure youre a smart guy whos aware of this. They would also weigh the cars trunk down with bricks in order to create the correct physical demand of the jump. Originally, Gy Waldron wanted a 69 camaro, but after review, he and Paul Baxley decided the trunk was too small to add additional weight when needed. Fun fact: did u know Paul Baxley (Dukes main stunt coridnator) was also a stunt double for William Shatner on the original Star Trek while famous game show host, Bob Eubanks, had a son who would go on to be one of the original stuntmen to the Dukes of Hazzard? Interesting stuff. You should do a video of the car jumping, freeze frame it like they would just before a commercial and a nailbiting landing, toss in Waylon Jennings saying, "folks, im not sure theyre gonna make this one", and then continue playing the motion. LoL. That would b funny

Those Chargers and Roadrunners, Mustangs Torino's, Camaros & Chevelle's were great looking cars, and the buyer could pick the transmission and engine. The SUV car of toay, boring, it has a cup holder and a cell phone charger, boring.
