The yellow vase you passed on at 2:45 is mid century Italian, made by Nuovo Rinascimento - contemporary of Bitossi. Always buy the stuff with 'italy' scrawled on the base like that, most of the time you can charge whatever you like (I do LOL)
@daveweeks47486 ай бұрын
Great knowledge there, cheers. Pausing the video the words looked like 'A / 18 ITALY'.

@@daveweeks4748 yep, probably the mould number. There were numerous factories and most of them didn't sign much more than that black scrawl. Anytime you see it, grab it! I identified this one via Google Lens, which is a godsend for stuff like this. Like fat lava and scandi glass, there's so much out there, remembering it all is near impossible!

Hi Both. Thanks for another great video. I used to work in a warehouse with a corrugated tin roof. When the rain came, and especialy the hailstone in winter, it was like working inside a snare drum.

Yes Banham used to be a great boot sale. They killed it off when they started charging buyers an entrance fee. I hope it gets as good as it used to be again x

Exactly,we started going to banham roughly 35 years ago,we sold and bought a lot of stuff in that time They made a massive mistake charging to get in
@andreahills744 ай бұрын
We missed the last one but apparently it was quite large, so I think it will grow again, and there was no fee to get in. It’s a shame it’s only once a month, but maybe that will change.

Hi Andrea, I love the sass and belle vase, very stylish. I used to sell a lot of sass and belle when I had my shop in Norwich ⏰

🥚🥚🏫🕰🕰 I had some of those eggs . I put them in my fridge. My Daughter decided to bake a cake 🎂 grabbed one of the eggs and tried cracking it open. The mixing bowl was history. My wife went bananas. But I thought it was hilarious 😂 😃

That poor lady selling the Wedgwood for £2 when it’s worth £40….
@andreahills746 ай бұрын
There was absolutely nothing stopping her from selling it online herself, but she wanted shot of it and chose to price it low at a car boot sale. I don’t think she’s a ‘poor woman’. She was very happy with the sale. I’m now going to clean it up and spend time researching it, photographing it, listing it and finding a new owner for it. Someone who will be looking for just that vase and who will love it.. someone who would not have been at that car boot sale. Also I bought it very late in the day… if I hadn’t bought it she may not have sold it at all and would have gone home with it again.

@@andreahills74 Hi Andrea. I understand how it all works, I suppose my question is would this lady still have been quite so happy to sell that vase for £2 if she realised it’s potential £40 value? Unlikely. She was happy to sell it probably on the basis she thought it was worth £5-10. I see this all the time at car boot sales. I can’t believe people sell items for £1-£2 happy in the knowledge that these things are getting flipped at 10, 20, 30 x the price paid. Last week on You Tube there was a pair of boots sold at a car boot for £1 and the boots were listed at £185? I can see now why our local charity shop now has a full time volunteer listing better items on EBay. The penny has dropped…

@@andreahills74 Excellent Comeback!!! Enjoyed your Video!! 🤗❤️👍🙋🏻♀️

@@andreahills74 Let’s not deliberately overcomplicate things. It was worth £40, the lady clearly didn’t know that or she would have asked for more? You sniped it, from there you took a photo, checked solds (“research”) listed it, ran a baby wipe over it and collected its real value by flipping. Some car boot sale resale profits are brutal.
