I'm setting up my minivan to be self contained for short periods as the very small utility trailer it can haul will carry an extensive tent setup for longer periods when I find specially nice locations. I love the idea of multiple options.

Thanks for the tour, guys. I sold my truck and trailer, and my plan is to go with a full-size van, build it into an RV setup, and hit the road full-time again near the end of next year. I saw their channel a few years ago when I was planning my previous trailer build. Good content, Seem like good people and have a great build. Side note, I built another trailer and have moved from South Texas to Idaho. I think we crossed paths in Kansas but I was focusing on my safe travel and not following Y'alls adventures. Aloha! We were in Hawaii at the same time and didn't know it, why not Kansas.

This is what I want to do. Have a nice cargo type van for adventuring in and a trailer as extended living space. We've only been camping in our minivan, but I've really loved that. Love the painters pole idea.

Very neatly organized. I have my 6x12 double axle tool trailer I could do something with but I'm a tried and true truck camper dude.bBTW, after all the tuneup work I did, the truck is running beautifully except I'm getting 7.1 and 6.7 mpg from my first two tanks of gas this trip. And that was running premium. I usually get one more mpg running premium over regular. Next leg of this trip will be at 65mph, not 70.

Like the AC in the rear wall, doing the layout in mine now, and plan to start building this week, needs to be done and on the road in 18 days... Was planning the same idea in the front, inside the kitchen area, with the vents coming out of the bottom of the trailer.. but think I like this better.

2 weeks is very possible by a pro carpenter. I've built my entire life did mine in a month but hand built my cabinets out of wormy chestnut. 4 hundred watt solar and all the goods. I did preprepare by buying many things in advance. Very nice job. Where's the facilities?

Hey guys, appreciate your videos!! Quick question, trying to figure out the best option for a side awning setup that would install easily on a finished cargo trailer. Any ideas from things you’ve seen out there? Would like it to go above the door too but not hit on the door when opened. Thanks so much and be safe out there!!

The only thing that we've used is a heavy duty plastic tarp that we tie to pad eyes high on the side of the trailer. We installed a wheel on the top outer edge of the door so that it doesn't tear the tarp. I don't like the standard RV roll-up awnings with all that hardware, but I would lean more towards the ones that you roll up by hand into their cover. I think simple is better.
