something that people also need to keep in mind (re: mandatory insurance) is that mortgages get sold ALL THE TIME (against your will and without your knowledge) and not all of your documentation always ends up going to the new company. So people should remember to keep both physical and electronic copies of their home insurance policies at all times because your new mortgage company might send you an email or mailer telling you they have no insurance on file and you only have a tiny window of time to provide them with those documents before they charge you a ton and you end up paying two different home insurance companies.

Totally agree on the FACT that the supply of reasonably priced housing is affected by corporate conglomerates. It’s ridiculous that equation continues on unchecked, covertly of course. Mostly due to Citizens United. Grrrr

Austin ,TX have had a ton of horrible new builds where they are signing off on the inspections but these houses are barely standing. There’s a home inspection guy that has a whole channel dedicated to these new homes being signed off this way!

My kids did that because too many investors are taking over Arizona - so yes - they sold it for a little less money to a couple with a new baby. This was their first house & they were in that same position when they bought it. They did some great rehab/styling to it & made so much money - they gave the couple a 5k break - the wife cried she was so grateful.😍. They feel Karma will make up for their kindness.

If it pertains to the working function of the home they must disclose in Louisiana but being close proximity to a chemical waste area does not pertain to the function of the home so technically they are not required to disclose that. I’d recommend they would but they don’t technically have too.

@@0505krm I’d tell you to meet with a realtor in your area to discuss what’s actually happening as far as home prices. The decline could be just the time of year it is. Also, meet with a lender to see what your financial position is with the equity in your home and what you are looking to buy next. This will help make your decision much easier.

The shortage of housing was caused by corporate entities and people owning multiple properties. If the amount of houses were doubled today, in a month or two they would be bought up and there would be a new housing shortage.

I had my home in the market and my realtor gave me a fake offer on it just to get me to allow someone to come see it! I lost faith in him when from the beginning when he came to take pictures he wanted us to lower the price then two weeks later lower it again! I filed a complaint with the board of realtors and also the department of licensing! I proved it was a Fake offer!
