I don’t think it’s a joking matter, something seriously sinister is going on here. All these automakers are producing bigger and more complex vehicles during a time when most people’s spending power is being diminished through lack of earning opportunities and rapid inflation. The people calling the shots know as much and likely much more than my dumb ass yet none of them are taking steps towards correcting this. They knew long before we did that their most loyal customers would be so buried in their previous auto purchase that they could not trade in and buy their next vehicles. Yet they keep over producing the larger complex vehicles. Some want me to blame the EPA for this and as much as I loathe the EPA much of this was passed through legislation written by automaker lobbyists and they could easily lobby a repeal. The engineers know what they are designing will fail, no desire to fix it. With customers being priced out and products designed to be short lived it’s looking like someone doesn’t want us regular folks owning cars. It’s clear they want to sell fleet vehicles to people who will Uber us around especially with technology for automated cars ready to go. They want us off the road as drivers and in cars they control. Mocking content creators for making videos about car market crashes and resets will not stop this. Eventually we will only get rides that take us where we are authorized to go and the list of those places will shrink. Rural people will be over charged and forced to move into stack and pack urban pods. You will own nothing and you will be happy. Now eat the bugs.

No bailouts! We should not help people that won’t help themselves. Dealers are holding steady because they are waiting on the manufacturers to concede and give incentives. They both need to help themselves first and adjust pricing accordingly to get things moving again. Greedy banks. Here we go again with them. First mortgage practices and now auto loans. They are going to want a bailout as well. Question now one is asking is what about the greedy insurance companies. They are causing this as well. Not only can people not afford the car payment but they can’t afford the insurance either. So instead of the big mortgage crash here comes the big auto crash. Re: a bailout, I thought from your recent videos that you were referring to the OEMs but, in this video, it seems you are referencing dealerships. If you mean dealerships, while the NADA is a fairly strong lobbying group, a bailout for dealers won't happen. A bailout for OEMs, however, is a strong possibility should the need become ripe. OEMs involve mostly union labor and larger corporate interests. While a fair number of working folk would have some sympathy for auto assembly workers - and thus, OEMs - almost no one would feel bad for auto dealerships.

it’s just like you said every time something goes wrong with the car industry. It seems like they don’t know how to control a dollar they go and ask for a bail out and that’s exactly what they’re doing right now somewhere in 2025 all of them are gonna ask for a bail out and the dealerships they need to go way the industry is totally terrible at business.

@@benmartinez9597 They were mandated and had EVs rammed down their throats. They sank billions of dollars into development of EVs that most people don’t want. The ones that did buy them are now 50% upside down on them. This was all part of the new green deal. It has failed miserably. They are all cutting EV production this year as soon as the mandates are lifted. Toyota looks like a genius right now (except for the engine issues of course) they said we will make hybrids. We don’t buy into this EV thing. And starting to look like they were right. The technology, although improving is not ready for pure EV cars. Do hybrid for a feed years and walk before we run.

I have some family and friends overseas ( different countries) and they are telling me that since the Chinese cars landed on their shores…. The prices of all other cars have statuettes to decrease. One of them just bought for his wife a brand new SUV called Jetour ( I think the name he said) for the equivalent of a little less than 15k US dollars. The pics he sent me really impressed me. It has been a little Over a year and he said so far they’ve had zero issues with it. I’m starting to think that the US banning Chinese cars to enter the American market is because no company here can compete with those prices.

The fact that auto dealerships and to an extent, auto makers are going to get another government bailout to save them from the terrible financial decisions they have made makes me sick. They will get handed billions of dollars while they continue to screw over the customers that made them what they are today. It's pathetic.

The greed has gotten so bad. Never in my life would I think that business losing money, would INCREASE their prices to make up for the loses. That doesn't make any economic sense. The government cannot afford a bailout. No bailout for their greed.

Maybe my last new purchase 15 months ago was an outlier, but a got 21K off my Ram Limited at a great dealership in central Florida. I do however agree that many if not most of the dealerships should get what they deserve if the market tanks. Unfortunately, if the car market collapses be prepared for a down turn in the overall economy. He is dead wrong when he said tariffs won't increase prices. The car manufactures or the dealerships will not eat that cost. They will pass it along to the consumer, especially if they're operating in the red.

Just came from a local GM dealer--they tell me they've had the same December they've had over the past several years. GM is not offering any significant deals...same discounts on 2024 models, but with interest rates subsidized only to a point. So perhaps the sky is falling at larger dealerships in areas where competition is much more stiff, but for the most part this sounds like the "supply & demand" system at work, at least the GM dealer in my medium-sized city. We'll see what the rest of 2025 brings.

@futureghost6932 what home were you buying a few years ago? I bout my 1800 sq ft home in 2007 for 130k. I got pre-approved for 85k. Hopefully I don't spend that much, but my truck is my livelihood and unfortunately, I don't have a choice. I need a new truck now. If I have to spend 85k, I'll do it. It helps I have no house payment and I can use my business to write off some of that cost. However, this guy is saying the same shit over and over. The crash is coming. The crash is coming. Sure vehicle prices may come down, but these guys are in the business of making as much money as possible, so they're gonna find a way. They'll get bailed out again if the market really does fall out. Lastly, if you agree with the him when he says they won't find a way to pass the tariff costs on to the consumers, I've got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. They always find a way to pass the cost on to us.

@merinojoe not with interest rates the way they are. Sorry. Even with my 800+ FICO you're looking at close 8 to 10%. Any money you save on the purchase you're going to eat in finance charges. If you have 50 to 70k in cash, go buy used. I'm not pulling that from my business to pay cash for a truck.

It’s just not really all that true, that’s the problem. I hate to say it but this guy is making a lot of “rage bait” videos. I wish this guy was right.

@@Nomad454when I told the dealer about the 24 bronco that I wanted a bigger discount when he was offering me $42,000 he said we just don't give discounts on broncos. The people that think the tariffs are a bad idea are uneducated. They’re a negotiating tactic to get products made in America. If all products are made in America it will cause these companies to compete for sales. That means they’re going to want to be the cheapest option so they sell more. Do you go to the most expensive gas station or drive down the street to a cheaper one? Do you buy the on sale products over the ones not on sale? People look for the best deals. If you don’t, you must be well off and it should not bother you anyways.

Only new ones. The rest of us are likely fairly satisfied buying years ago. Same with houses: nobody smart or not desperate is buying one now. The market is always efficient, over longer periods of times. If these companies want to exist, they ultimately will be forced to discount, even if that means merging and replacing executive teams with people that are more realistic on their own incomes while paying the people that make the businesses run better
