Anyways I am a fan just wanted to say thanks for the good videos with HUMOR! ONE last thing, what is your opinion on the games 1) Armello 2) Ghost of a Tale and lastly 3) any JRPG that is more open world/like that doesn't look like a bunch a 11 year old girls with cat ears...it just feels weird...I'm not talking full Dragons Dogma but more like the Xbox 360 'Lost Odyssey'.... I'd much appreciate it. God Bless

One time, SMB speedrunner and NES connoisseur Kosmic constructed a tier list of infamously hard NES/Famicom games based on difficulty; this of course includes Battletoads, the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, Silver Surfer, all that jazz. When he got to Holy Diver, he added a new tier - above top tier - solely dedicated to Holy Diver.

This was released between AAAA finest, Suicide Squad and Skull & Bones… and Helldivers 2… so you know how much people forgot that this game existed. Unfortunately, even if it’s now f2p, there’s no news about bringing it outside PlayStation. There’s a huge chance that it may last until January next year. Please enjoy this and cheer on, while it lasts.

Despite never thinking "God Eater" would ever actually get brought up here, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it did under the context of being a "Monster Hunter" clone. That's pretty much the one and only aspect most people know it for. Funnily, the same thing happened to its spin-off, "Code Vein". Yeah, "Code Vein" is strongly implied, to the point of just not outright stating it, to be part of the "God Eater" universe. And the one thing "Code Vein" is regarded as being is that one "SoulsBorne" clone, but "anime". Can't really catch a break there. But yeah, "God Eater" surprisingly might just be the second largest Monster Hunting series in that sub-genre. 3 mainline entries (with multiple enhanced iterations in-between), the aforementioned spin-off, something like 2-3 mobile games, an (albeit incomplete) anime adaption as well as multiple OVAs, multiple manga, for some reason has top billing from both Ufotable and Go Shiina, was featured in crossovers like both "Project X Zone" entries as well as having a one-off rep in "Neptunia" of all things, and more. It's kind of absurd how recognizably popular it actually was. Kind of a shame it's probably dead now. Shift, the developer of the series, got completely absorbed into Bandai with their company name being essentially discarded. Like, they don't even show up in the credits but the staff is all there. Their last project was over 5 years ago now with "Code Vein" and there's pretty much been no news since. You'd think it'd be "God Eater 3" which did release after but apparently not. Despite it being a mainline entry in Shift's flagship franchise, it was instead outsourced to Marvelous since they were busy working on "Code Vein". That's really sad. And given the mass layoffs at Bandai not too long ago, I really got to wonder if the final nail was finally hammered in on that coffin.

An interesting clone-ish game is Tornado Outbreak. It’s similar to Katamari where you play as a tornado sucking things up to get bigger and there are items to collect before moving on in each zone. I feel like you may have talked about it before but it was a fun take on the Katamari genre.

I'm making a game right now, and I dont THINK its a ripoff but it does take a lot pf its systems from other games. Its called Chronicles Meteorfall. It has the battle system from SMT5 Vengence, the class system from Bravely Default, the skill building from Digital Devil Saga, the random events from Yokai Watch, the seemless overworld from 2D Zelda, the open ended exploration from Octopath, story concepts from Fire Emblem, Persona, SMT, Xenoblade, Legend of Dragoon, Bravely Default, Final Fantasy, some semi-obscure childrens book series, and many other sources, the sidequest formula from Chrono Trigger or Xenoblade X, the visusal style from Vagrant Story, and a lot of other stuff.

I think its important to point out how the Narnia game was basically Lego Star Wars fused with the Lord of the Rings PS2 games, such as with the combat having different combos, parries, etc., and even stuff like selecting levels on the wardrobe being very similar to the level select in Return of the King. Very interesting fusion.

Freedom Planet 2 is the kind of sequel that just improves on everything the first game did, I love it so much, just playing Adventure Mode with all four characters took over 40 hours and yet it went by so fast, the pixel art is what I'd call the "Symphony of the Night of indie games", even the writing felt better to me, with a much darker tale of war and racial conflict, it caught me by surprise! Also, Space Bunnies Must Die was actually distributed here in Brazil by publisher Greenleaf back in the late 90s, it was common seeing ads for this game on the CD Expert magazine my dad used to buy back in the day, in fact, _the boxart you showed at __15:37__ is from the brazilian version of the game, it's in portuguese and everything!_

Final Fantasy Explorers is legit an underrated masterpiece. The plot may be non-existent and the gameplay kind of clunky, but MAN is that game a blast to grind away at with friends. There's just so much content in that game it's utterly insane. I tried playing monster Hunter generations ultimate to try to get that same itch but I didn't like the combat AT ALL so I returned the game and never tried another Monster Hunter since. IMO FF Explorers CLEARS any Monster Hunter game, World and Rise included. The only game that gave me the same feeling of playing FF Explorers is Dragon Marked for Death, and similar to FFEX that game also bombed and has maybe like 100 active players still around on the discord looking for games, and they're all max level grinding the hardest missions so newbies have no one to play with. Did you know that FFEX actually has a sequel. It was mobile JP only and was cancelled after only being a month in beta, ruining the chances of FFEX ever getting a sequel on Switch.
