Its not a critical design flaw, its an issue with older raids by SG. New raids having harsh punishment for mistakes is acceptable and normal for raid encounters in any mmo, but once its not current its usually nerfed which doesn't happen regularly in Lost Ark. Some raids that were released in KR took years to get nerfed. And thats what keeps players there gatekept even though its ancient history now.

Lost ark needs to offer online classes, practice exams, exams and certifications of raid completions. I surely fail if I have to take valtan and vykas exams. 😂. I will pay to take the classes if they are offered with real legit certified mentors and I'm not kidding.

Thanks for the really good video and for sharing your thoughts. They are really helpful tbh. I didn’t know that behemoth also gives elixirs and stuff damn. Here are some of my thoughts as well. Me personally wait for the kr patch notes and hone characters to 1620 that I really enjoy doing homework with. Maybe I buy some legendary engraving books if I can snipe them cheap from the market. But most importantly I’ll have fun and can’t wait for the new stuff!

I still dont understand about dmg gem for support, is we need dmg gem for only dmg buff skill, or we need dmg gem as much as possible for increase the Party Atk Buff..

dmg gems will have special modifiers for supports, so yes you'll want more dmg gems than what you had before the update

One thing I didnt understand: Inven posts think that when you go from t3 gear to t4 gear you instantly gain 20 ilvl? (for the 1620>1640 example) Is that confirmed or are those speculations?

My thought on the advance hone highly likely it would still matter because say you get the T4 gear right we would still most likely gear transfer for the Set bonus and Trans bonus of said gear so most likely the advance hone tap may also transfer. That's if the dev team is smart but that's giving them too much credit for how narrow their overall game state vision is.

Echidna will probably get converted to Tier 4 content. Same thing happend with Kayangel as well, he dropped Abrel mats, but later with soft reset Akkan mats.

Thinking about the LOA ON announcements quite carefully, I cannot help but come to the conclusion that everything is better. Yes, there are minute details people will get upset over, such as Gems or whatever thing they care about. But the Solo Raids are so massively important. Think about the new player experience, think about the new-player experience and how much SMOOTHER it is. They can choose to maybe doing non-solo Kaya when they're ready for it, but continue to do solo-mode Akkan, for example. I cannot help but think that, if these changes are implemented well and speedily enough, it will bring nothing but good to the game.

Depends what else you have to work towards on your roster. If you want some more 1620s or if you want some more lvl 10 gems that's way more worth your money right now, lvl 10s have tanked enormously. Going to pity on your 23 weapon to 24 would still cost you around 250k from 62% artisan in just gold and that's what lvl 10 damage gems are at right now. Just depends on what you want to prioritize. The new mats that drop from things in t4 will probably be really expensive at first so if your question is purely "what will be more expensive, gaining 1 wep ilvl now or later" then without knowing the exact honing rates or mat costs there's really no way to know but i'd probably hold off on tapping for now unless you have full bound mats and are just using gold to tap, even though leapstone prices have dropped quite a bit.

Definitely a good idea to use whatever new mokoko express we get on one of them and maybe wait for bound mats for others and hold some gold. I've also seen book prices shoot way up as many people assume the new t4 system may be based off of books read rather than accessories equipped like in t3. My 23 weapon is at like 15% artisans and I will just be tapping it every once in a while when I get more bound mats and saving my gold to buy some lvl 10 gems when I can, hope they continue to drop down super hard

Raids are like theme park rollercoasters that I could not ride in lost ark. I got disposable income but couldn't get myself to support this game when I couldn't even do Valtan. I watch the videos like 10 times and still getting killed from lack of practice and who practice valtan nowadays? nobody! I'm screwed that I have no dedicated team to play weekly so just stuck doing dailies and boat quests.

Why would you do valtan at 1600 when you can do akkan,brel,volids? Solo raid locks you out of the respective group raid and vise versa.

Roadmap Part 2 says we getting Echidna in June for western audience, fact is also the free log in mats that we get every time we log in per day goes to 19.06.2024. That means with this reset and maintenance we get Echidna earlier then russian road map (july). But with behemoth probably its also one month earlier then russia in september, so for western community, roadmap part 2 ends in july, we dont know what we get then in august. maybe Behemoth with T4 that would be nice getting it earlier then russian road map. At the end, i come to the ponit that we meet us with korean raids and everything by same time, having all in western like you in korea, should be 01.2025, so we can enjoy full endgame raid experience maybe together, after North Kurzan and new Akkan Raid etc. what you get in Late Summer/Autumn, maybe we get that in autumn / Winter, so for 01/2025 we in western are similar same with endgame like you in korea. im in love that.

So t4 dmg gems have a substat, and... what about cg gems? cuz if cd gems dont give substats there wont be a reason for certain classes to have t10 (t4) cd gems. With a db or a zerker if you have cd gem lvl 10 (t3) you already have smooth cycles so there will be classes that wont benefit at all with more cd. Idk isnt that weird?

Both CD and DMG gems simply give you "base attack power %". You can see it in the screenshots from LOAON

game hasnt felt like an mmo in so long. everyone just gets on does their dailys/ weekly raids and no one talks in the raid unless someones messing up constantly other than that everyone knows their pos and what to do. i barely ever see anyone talk in area chat at least the server im on, kinda miss the launch days and the chat would actually be hard to keep up with. i'll be doing pretty much ever raid solo when we get it since i tend to get gatekept since my rng with card packs have been terrible and have none of the endgame sets at 30 awakening its so discouraging tbh i have everything else, decent elixir/transcendence but 30 awakening on a cardset. so many rng factors in the game and i have been so unlucky with every single one lmao

So new players will have to get elixirs and transcendence to not be gatekept and they should rely on that few mats they get from Behemoth? I dont think so, it is more like some extra materials to finish it, but not as main source, it will take them extremely long. From all the systems which game have elixirs had to be reworked and simplified and they completely ignored it. I can guarantee that new players will get stuck on this as soon they use all their resources to push to 1620 (which is also crazy expensive if you do not have established roster). In general good informative video tho, but I think they did not really address much with T4, they kept main current West problems and pushed some of them more in the future, but in few months we have same gatekeeping based on new systems... only very good news are solo raids, that will have positive impact for sure.

Solo raid ends with voldis normal (for now) which gives elixirs, so while it is an issue it's not a massive problem. The system needs to be nerfed in some way but with events and other things constantly happening which pump us legendary elixirs costing just silver, you should be able to get your 40 set without much issue, unless you're that one guy who's gonna make a "woe is me" reddit post for not being able to find his set effect for 5 weeks in a row. Transcendence is just an issue of gold and if you immediately pop to 1640 from 1620 then i highly doubt youre getting gatekept in normal thaemine which will casually give you plenty of transcendence so again not really an issue. Gatekeeping is gatekeeping, it's never going away but the systems themselves will be somewhat available to new players where there wont be a huge need to gatekeep over them. If someone is getting gatekept in west these days it's not because of transcendence or elixirs, it's because of title, roster level, and the fact that the party leader can just sit around an extra minute til another person applies who has full level 10 gems. There's not much to be done about that outside of removing roster level, titles, or whales entirely so it is what it is.

@@RyGuy-kd1tg Voldis NM will not give you 40 set and that is what matters, same as matters LoS 30. Noone cares if you have 35 set or 24 LoS (and get LoS 24 is at least half year of playing if you are lucky) when you are on 1640, you will be expected to have this done. I am very sure that new player will not get 40 set with extra silver elixirs with ease, it is extremely rng and on top of that you have to know what you are doing (which is not guarantee of getting 40 set, but if you have no clue, you have no chance). Elixirs should be removed with T4 or nerfed to ground, they did nothing, they nerfed engravings which were not even problem, it will be more expensive to get books to legendary level than is now make your set from accessories. Saying that these system are "somewhat available to new players" is not changing anything on fact that they are extremely offputing. I can tell you that if I would have to do elixirs when I started to play I am not playing now. Spend all my hard earned gold for no result week after week in system which take as much time as raiding is just horrible experience.
