@@chartle1 I was pointing out that Damascus steel is a special steel that comes from Damascus. He makes forge welded pattern steel. I am a knife maker. With an exception to that I like his stuff.

There's really no excuse for you to be as bad a welder as you are. Watch some videos from welding dot com. Make cursive letter e's and drag that molten pool of metal along the seam. It just takes some practice. I do thank you for bringing to mind a rock group from the '70s that lay dormant in my memory banks for 45 years.
