The Icehelm mine *does not* include the lava section. In fact you cannot even dig downwards in the Icehelm mine. It fundamentally works different. Instead you have to dig horizontally into the walls, and the deeper you dig horizontally, the more value you get per chunk of dirt

Hey Z, right now you're only using surface dirty, and while you are in the starting area, if you dig down to just above the T2 dirty, you can set your drills down there to get bigger clumps of metals and gems, getting more hydro coin in the long run, but getting your next drill in a shorter time period Also, if you are OCD about your spaces which pickaxing down into the ground, buy stairs or ramps for easy travel and get the rake to level the "rooms" and "tunnels" you make, I would suggest wall torches too...good luck!!

The starting area doesnt have T2 dirt. Its only 5 blocks deep. I tried mining it with T2 pickaxe and nothing happened

Cloutium pipes are tier 2 they are best used with tier 2 drill, tier 1 maxs out at 180 pressure. Your better of making tier 1 intake boosters on your Iron intake pipe and place pressure tanks before each drill and harvester to max your yield. Plus if you which to get the max out your tier 1 drills, you want to place them underground at the lowest point in Ember Cradle. When crafting jewellery you are better of splitting your gold bar in two and craft a necklace, the ring gives you 10% increase plus the cost of the gem, where as the necklace will give you a 20% increase plus the cost of the gem. The same applies to crafting weapons, the dagger gives a 10% increase, the axe is a 20% increase and the sword is 30%.

You can 100% use the Tier 2 Cloutium Intake Pipes with the Tier 1 Forged Iron Pipes. You're correct that the Tier 1 pipe system maxes out at 180 pressure, but the Tier 2 Intake Pipe already starts at 250, so you max out the pressure without the need to add the Forged Iron Booster Hooks to the Forged Iron Intake Pipe. You are also correct that Z should use a Pressure Booster Tank just before the intake on each individual Drill, because that will max out the pressure, and therefore the mining speed, for each one.

Have a separate water intake system for your conveyors and sorters. You don't have to filter that water, or care if it goes slow. Save your filtered water for your machines.

I say go for the snow area, it looks awesome and has plenty of space to play around with. Also the mine in the foundry does not include the lava area, not to mention it can get very cramped down there once you have all your machines even if you dig out the walls(though the ore you can get down there are really good if you use dirt from deep in the wall and use tier two drills). Your call though and love you videos their one of the best parts of my day😁.

You should try to craft the boosters for the intake pipe if you are worry about pressure. Also put your crystal thing closer to your drills, It is doing nothing so close to the intake!! Also, yes, you should get the gauge thing

In case you don't know, the pressure booster(The thing you put shards into) has changed semi-recently. You want to place the booster near the drills and conveyors. Now, it acts like a water intake pipe, boosting the pressure in the pipe up to the maximum that you have at intake. PS: max pipe pressure for Iron is 177 which can be achieved by a cloutium intake, full iron intake boosters, or 3 coutium boosters.

Love Your Videos! If you go the Forge Mine, It's a Vertical Build and NOT a Horizontal build. It brings a Whole new set of challenges building Vertically. Also, if you want this build to get Cloutium faster, you need to place the drills down lower. The Top soil is the lowest yield and smallest nuggets, go down to right above bedrock and you will be Amazed with how much your system will produce! 👍😎

Cloutium Intake will only work with cloutium Pipes. Normal pipes max out at 100%. go to the electrical place and get a pressure gauge that will clip onto a pipe to see what the pressure is at that location.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the normal pipes max out at 180%, the drills and harvesters max out at 100%. It's why the conveyor belts were noticeably faster but the drills had no difference. The steam coming from the cloutium pipe to the iron pipe is because you have 250% pressure feeding into a pipe that supports 180%

I haven't played it yet but I feel like having 10h expertise on youtuber content on this game :'D In the shop of Icehelm you can buy a pallet... if you go and buy pipes you can all put it on the pallet and make it in one run...

If you want to build buildings then definitely go for the snowy area. If you want to get tier 2 machines faster, then go for the mines for bigger ore. That said, you can still get tier 2 items faster by using the pickaxe to get down to paydirt level and putting your current setup down there (just get some stairs and wall torches and you're good). You could also just dig down to paydirt level on one corner of the lot, buy a bunch of small buckets (which hold 4 shovels of dirt compared to only one in the pan), fill them with the paydirt then haul all the buckets over to the machines (on the cart) and replace all the dirt under the miners with the paydirt. Accomplishes pretty much the same thing. Also, try separate water lines for your belts and machines, and you could probably use the tier 2 water pipe (though you don't need to) for the belts only since the water for the belts doesn't need to be filtered and it makes the belts faster which should help prevent clumping once you have all your drillers installed. As a plus, pressure will stay higher for your machines with a dedicated water line, especially if you move the pressure booster closer to the machines (or one in front of each machine) so each pipe after the booster doesn't reduce the pressure as much. Lastly, split your gold bars with the saw and make a necklace with them instead. You make so much more money that way. 😅

You should definitely continue with the Snowfalls, but, one suggestion for the first area... You should put clouthium intake and speed up conveyors, it doesn't damage equipment, also, try to dig to the bottom and place your drills on the bottom floor (put small amount of bottom dirt below drills), that way you will get much, much bigger nuggets as well. I usually start the game going straight down and putting machinery on the bottom (much much faster profit even with 1 drill ;) ) So, tier 2 intake can be used on tier 1 pipes (only problem is steam sound coming from connection from tier 2 to tier 1 and nothing else) Tier 2 gives 250% intake and tier 1 100% intake, each T2 pipe drops pressure by 2.5% and T1 drops by 3% (it is the end setup machinery for 1st dig site for me) On snowfalls, you can also dig until the bottom and do the same, but only problem is tier 2 dirt, it starts at 9 blocks deep so you will need T2 drill for that. You can put T2 drill on top but you need to wait until it digs to the bottom i think. I am currently having million for 30 minutes with only T1 equipment and in the beginning area, only thing from T2 I use is piping/intake, so basically for me T2 drills/harvester are useless (just personal opinion) Cant wait to see what you will do next doesn't matter all of the above suggestions :D Keep up gaming Z

You could leave the left over iron bars from the miner crafting in the crucible the crafter uses, that way you combine all the iron you use there. Plus, you can park your truck under the drop point of the machines at icehelm, they'll fall into the truck bed perfectly so you don't have to go up, pick it up, and put it in the bed yourself. Personally, I'd invest in icehelm first, use that for your income and materials, then purchase the snow fields you're looking into. That way you can easily build what you'd like on that plot

Z everyone here has told you correctly. The mine does NOT include the lava section and in fact is a big cave that you dig horizontally. I'm personally set up here with a little over 50 miners right now and it is extremely lucrative. I get 250g onyx/hour or so with this setup so it might be good but its also taken me several long play sessions to get where I am. When I do go to sell though I easily make 100-200k. I feel the mine is more of a long term project than a quick cash grab... (hint: use the rake and pick for neat looking tunnels and ease of excavation in the mine. )

z you can use corner pipes to power conveyors so you could have a straight conveyor at the end with the gem polisher and use corner pipes to get the gem compressor on the same level as your sorters. you could even add the gem polisher on the straight conveyor next to your harvester and use the corner pipe to power the sorter. the pipe configuration out be a u with a tail. if your facing the end of the conveyor facing away from the harvester use a pipe to go left then 2 right pipes

Not sure if you know by now but the pressure pipe gives the full pressure back, so you just need one as close to your drills as possible. You should make necklaces since you have a saw they give you more money. With the forge you can put all you iron back in then take the design off the podium and then it hit the lever which will give you a full bar back.

2 things: 1. You need to have 5 filters if you dont want to get your mashines damaged - I see only 4 2. Since pipe part that uses crystals boost preshure to the intake value it should be as close to mashines as possible The clouthium pipes have higher preshure than iron so its normal that you did see a change in speed but only slight one and actualy your mashines did work faster - damage depends on purity of water not preshure There are 3 types of mashines you can make - drill, harvester or intake booster that costs 60 of aproprieate metal and give +20 or 30 to intake pipes preshure for each one attached (1 up to 4)

Cloutium and onyx appear much more frequently if you're using dirt from deeper down, as well as larger chunks of resources. You're using the starting area, so valuable stuff like that is gonna be rare.

Your drills get better chances for cloutium and larger ores, the deeper you put them. Place the drills on the very bottom of the Ember Cradle, as it does not have Tier 2 soil, and you'll be getting much higher yields.

FYI: the dev did a lot of work to fix the way pieces fall off of belts. Funnels are almost useless now. I have a setup very similar to yours with no funnels and everything falls perfectly into smelters / compacters / pans / etc.

Mine had issues sometimes getting stuck at the end of the splitter and not falling. Maybe funnels would fix this, not sure... But yeah most of the time no issues it always felt in the cauldron.

It seems to be an issue with how the game saves the location of the pieces. Anything that is airborne when the save occurs is stuck midair on the next load. Causing all kinds of havock.

You need to put your machines as deep as they can go. Also don’t bother sorting gems bc once you get the compressor it takes the need for that away unless you wanna be fancy. With cloudium water pipe, it won’t boost the power to regular pipes, the higher pressure only travels as far as the cloudium pipes, I highly recommend you go thought and replace with cloudium ASAP. because replacing a huge set up with cloudium pipes isn’t fun, just start pricing it into any builds now to make it a lot easier in the future

In my save I put the gem polisher directly on the belt that the grinding machine spits onto because whilst I don’t get larger ones (unless I move the set up below the ground) all the gems are pre polished and ready to go, and with the new sorters you can have multiple things on one so I have one of every polished jewel on the sorter and it works no problem

Go for the snowy area, as far as I know it is new to this update and it's a different setting for a mine. I think it's a great spot, plus it's closer to the mines, isn't it? That means you don't have to drive as far to build more machines, and when it comes to the cloudium machines you are not going to want to always be running back and forth, it'll take an eternity to get anything done.

Icehelm. Less traveling to make more machines, once your machine production is good it will be easier to set up mines everywhere else. Also icehelm is always light up due to the lava so you dont have to worry about night.

Snowy area but the mine is a good place because you can have a Iron and more as bars or clusters is the boat coming back if so you can submit ideas for the hydro ship like a part crafting where you can craft your own mini hydro near truck with better power and you can have a pressure tank to make it faster and you can have little attachments to put on it there will be treads and Wheels if the boat is coming back there should be a logo template that you have to trade to get there should be hydro pads that run off of shards and water and they have a cool station if they're bringing back the crafting table and off the side there should be a little boat that you can get casts from. Hydro boat should have your logo and says automation Z1

i don't know if you recorded this video before the patch, but the latest patch fixes the drill lever issue that prevents you from placing some together. aka they move the lever to the front. if you haven't downloaded the patch yet I would recommend doing so.

I believe the pipe thing that you put power shards into is actually best being put near your machines rather than the start of the pipe network... If I'm correct what they do (now at least) is make it so the water pressure after it is at the same pressure as the intake pipe. If I am correct then putting it near the start of the pipeline will actually do nothing to help

It seems like the area inside the mine would be more interesting, since it's structured differently from the other possible sites. Also, would the grind go faster if you bought some TNT and put your miners lower down on your current plot.
