Also a good tip is that you can heat up the bar first and place it on the anvil, then cut it with the saw. It avoids the sometimes annoying task of trying to stack two bars on the anvil.
@anotherdave10392 жыл бұрын
anvils can take from pans on them and will ignore extra ingredients, and ingots can be heated while in pan. put 8 gold bars and 4 gems in a pan. heat it. set anvil to necklace. move entire pan to anvil. click with smithing hammer 4 times. done. just now double checked in latest patch. may not want to take the necklaces off the bottom of the pan though since this is the only way i've found to have necklaces in a pan for easy selling.

@daniel.watching2 жыл бұрын
You can also use the saw on the anvil. Just put your 1hot bar down and cut however many ingots you need. The price increase is a flat % on the raw ingredients so it really doesn't matter if you cut them evenly or not. As for gems, the only reason to make multiple necklaces/rings is to use more gems. This only really matters before you get the gem crusher. But even then, gems are worth so little pre-crush it's probably not worth the effort to make heaps of necklaces (which don't fit in the pan) and carry them all to the jeweller. Just use the gem to increase the value of your gold and sell the other gems raw until you get the crusher. You'll lose 20% of your gem value but that's really trivial in the long run. Spend your time building rather than carting necklaces around.

An additional tip (related to the one you gave about how to know which tier you're at): Do not get the tier 2 pick and shovel until you actually need them. They don't do anything better than the tier 1 tools. The only difference is that they can dig in tier 2. But before you have a reason to dig into the tier 2 dirt, it is better to have tools that will tell you (stop you) when you try to dig too deep.
@Hybridsteel2 жыл бұрын
completley agree
@daniel.watching2 жыл бұрын
On additional tip on this theme: The level you can dig to with a T1 pick, you can't put a T1 miner down. The miner needs to be 1 level higher for some reason. Don't make the mistake of setting up all your miners and then finding out they're one block too low. Same goes for T2. Dig until the pick doesn't work and then go up 1 block. Also the rake is great for speeding up digging and makes nice neat walls and floors.
@WRSomsky2 жыл бұрын
One thing I've found useful in crafting is to have a tool rack w/ a saw and hammer 8n it next to the anvil. Put the jewel in the anvil, drop one hot gold bar on the anvil, then grab the saw and split the bar in place -- the resulting two hot bars are in place for you to grab the hammer and give it a whack to make a necklace. No more fumbling w/ multiple hot bars! It works for swords too. Hit the hot iron bar *twice* with the saw to get three neatly stacked bars ready for crafting. It doesn't matter that the one on the bottom of the stack is twice the size of the other two.

A question on the T1->T2 jump: Is there a significant increase in ore quality/weight between a T1 drill at max T1 depth (8), and a T2 drill one block lower? Or is the value a smooth curve as you drop down? Second question: Does the price of a plot accurately reflect the value of the soil in that plot, meaning I might want to save up and go straight for the most expensive one?

Found a tip that you may or may not have mentioned in a video but I only just thought of it and it changed my whole mind plus I kinda hate myself for not trying sooner and wasting so much damn time xD Here it goes. Basically grab a cart, and walk into any store. Then grab whatever item you want to buy in bulk and have it drop into the cart. It loses collision and doesn't stack like it does with the pallet. The pallet therefore makes a better piece of decoration and lost all usefulness in my opinion. Also next people can move everything into the bigger and faster vehicules which make it faster to get back to your destination ;) It's great since I just decided to upgrade all my pipes from iron to the next one mainly to be able to have more pressure for a better overall flow and speed. :D

7:00 When you're just starting out, thinking about getting new pipes... I've done some experimenting in my game. It's MUCH more economical to buy the Cloutium INLET and then keep the rest of your pipes as iron. The difference between cloutium pipes (-2.5% pressure) and iron pipes (-3% pipes) is NEGLIGIBLE. This is due to the fact that pressure DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT AT ALL on the drills, harvesters, or compressors. The only thing pressure is good for is making your conveyor belts go faster. Every other machine in the game only requires pressure to be greater than zero... and honestly how often do you run a length of pipe that is LONG enough to drop pressure to zero? But the difference between the iron inlet (100% pressure, max length is 33 IRON pipes or 40 CLOUTIUM pipes)... compared to a cloutium inlet (83 iron pipe max, or 100 cloutium pipe max length) is HUGE. Especially after you get four of the boosters strapped onto the inlet to further extend the maximum pipe length that you can use before you need to refresh it with one of shard chamber things. So if you're struggling for cash but you want an upgrade... connect a CLOUTIUM INTAKE PIPE and leave the rest of your pipes as iron. You can always boost the intake, or swap out the iron pipes for more cloutium later on when you have too much money burning a hole in your pocket. Also remember once your pipeline gets so long that your pressure drops below 25%, at that point it's a good idea to put in a shard chamber thing to refresh the pressure.
@Hybridsteel2 жыл бұрын
acctually pressure does dictate speed on drills also the bit where u talk about a cloutium intake and a cloutium tank i seak about in this video.. but that whole thing about pressure and speed that u said is wrong more pressure makes the drills run faster video coming to prove that

I do notice if you have your ram drills above ground the iron pipes work wonderfully but they run pretty good if they are not too far away from the intake. The save that I lost last night had iron at first but I was 7 depth down in south hope and my belts were not even going. They were going up to a point but couldn't reach the harvester. So I bought the cloutium pipes and the belts above ground before the harvester were working just fine. I needed more pressure so I added cloutium pipes. Is there a way to keep iron pipes for as long as you want if you are in depth 7 or 8? I even thought of putting a pressure tank on the belt line to see if that would help the pressure.
@daxain73682 жыл бұрын
The way the pressure tanks is, they raise the water pressure in the pipe back to what it was right as it came out of the pump. If you put the pressure tank right by the pump, it does pretty much nothing, since the pressure was already high. In order to give your miners and extractors good pressure, place a pressure tank right before your miners and extractors.

For me i just got the game i think 3 weeks ago (2.0 version), and for me the stock market never worked, when i put weapons, jewelry or bars on it, it shows me constantly 0 and i cant sell it to it, and since i just started it, and did a lot by myself without any console i wont restart it already again, so my only choise to sell was the jewler i had anyways. How do you when you have bars move them further or closer? When i tried to scroll while holding it, it didnt do anything for me, only when i want to place structures like pipes, machinery etc. Edit: What im missing is when you store something in the handheld card or truck the collision models are deactivated, but on pallet the collision models are still on and its a pain in the ass to move more items especially bigger items arround, it would be nice if theres any hotkey, that when you habe lets say 4 drills and you wsnt to put them on the pallet, you take 1 drill and as example while holding it just press then G on the pallet that it stores it for you on it, or just as in the truck deactivating the collision on it, otherwise the pallet is in my eyes useless for moving more items at the same time. That example of the hotkey to set things on the right stuff would even help while example with the anvil, you take the heated bar or gem, press G or whatever hotkey and it places it on the anvil then and locks it, that would just make the gameplay easier, and less of a pain to get it exactly right, or worse when you forgot to lock 1 structure and you want to drop it, and all of a sudden you have your small setup ripped in half, just because you wanted ro drop something you had in the hands holding 🤣

so moving the bars forward if you hold down your action button which i think default is E hold that down and then u can use R, T, and Y to rotate on its axis. when building its the same or you can put things down to place and then it goes into grid mode and you again use R, T and Y to move it within the grid

Your not in creative.. your not cheat on money.. your just being smart.. someone once thought or see.. Oh my.. that it was water spewing out.. and took it off that it would damage to equipment quicker like your drills and harvester faster.. so does it damage your stuff quicker it over pressured pipes or incorrect pipping or no?

It is best to make a simple build and sell to the jeweller.

Alot of other people seem to belive that Iron Tier machine's cap out at 100% are you sure that they cap out at 180%?
@Hybridsteel2 жыл бұрын
they cap at 180 percent as thats the cap for iron pipes.. the problem i have is going from 1.7 to 2.0 we always said 100 percent but now its 180 which is full pressure. also at 7:40 i say the max is 180 percent of pressure

Why so many water filters? Is one not enough?
@Hybridsteel Жыл бұрын
nope 1 is not enough. in 2.0 and beyond u need 5 as they protect ur line 20 percent each so 5 filters 100 percent protected. so all ur machines and harvesters after the filters wont break.

@@Hybridsteelsee, this is the stuff that the game needs to explain better or at least put in the tooltips or something. I had no idea it was only 20%. There’s no reason for me to presume it would take more than one.

@@donaldham308 the item does have a description its more done in single numbers though. i do agree with you though it used to be described as 20 percent though so not sure why they changed it

@Hybridsteel9 ай бұрын
nope it wont harvest as you need the higher tier harvester to process the higher tier dirt.

Selling to the jewler is defenitely NOT better. If you get a 110% price on items, even if the market price goes down to 91% you STILL make 1% more than what the jewler would sell the items for in total. And you could stop at about 100% THEN sell to the jewlers. AND THAT is if you don't sell everything in a single big item that would crash the market price down to 91%, while you'd be making 110% on that sale (ei selling a 2 000 000 c item maybring the market down 20%). On top of that there is no point in selling lots of small items instead of making all the bars and gems (compressed) in one single big one. You'd just be wasting time crafting. Of course you can only use one jewel at the time, but by the time you get enough ressources to make the next one, you can use a different gem instead. You don't need to sell everything right away. Selling to the jewler is not the better option, it's the lazy I don't want to bother option.
@Hybridsteel5 ай бұрын
stock market is a pai nin the arse as its always moving, jeweler is set price never changes and lets be honest if you create something worth a million you wont need any more money write whatever essay you like but iv played the game for 4 years and never had to use anything but the jeweler to make money and never have to worry about a varing price or wondering if the stock market will be ok.
@Hehedada5 ай бұрын
@@Hybridsteel I don't get it, it's so simple to see the percentage number. Go first to the stock market, especially if you have big items, if the market is down just go to the jeweler... ? I mean it's stupid simple, it's one more stop to check the price, you don't even need to place your item you can see from far if the market is above or under 100. Which is literally a no brainer. I doubt you're ever in such a hurry in this game that you can't make a detour in the quad, the map isn't that big while the pay out on the 3 minutes you'll invest and potentially waste to check the market is 200 000 if your item is worth 2 000 000 and you have a 10% up price. Your ROI is unbelievably high which is why I maintain that going straight to the jeweler is viable only if "I have so much money I don't care anymore". When you're starting, your big items are worth maybe 5k c. 500 c can make a difference at the start and if your item is 50k c, 55k c is a free starter item without doing anything else but check the market pricing. And ALL of that is if you don't already know the approximative percentage because you checked last time. If you already know the market is at 90%, no need to even go check, come back in a week... (Yes I did notice you contradicted yourself saying the market doesn't move that often in the vid then saying it's constantly moving now. Might have been different in the version of the game when the video was recorded. However it does still take about an in game week to change so...) If THAT is too much bother for you geez Louise you lazy bro. Just to clarify, that is no personnal attack just an observation. You have the right to be lazy AF, even if it's making more work for you later. I'm even Lazier (yes capital L), which is why I want the most efficient so I don't have to work hard to catch up to it later xD
