What a wonderful magnet fishing party. Looked like a lot of fun. The things people throw into the water or off bridges is always amazing. You all found some great things. Mostly trash but at least you helped clean up the water a bit. We don't have canals here in the state of Georgia, USA. Lots of bridges over water though.

These guys and gals do ma great job cleaning up the UK's rivers and canals. Once on the Upper Thames near Queenies house at Windsor in my old boat, the propellers got caught up in a wire supermarket trolley (cart) in US. Took ages to cut it free even with the help of two soldiers, we lightened the stores aboard the boat so it wasn't so deep in the water, the two squaddies' staggered off afterwards, but they didn't feel the cold.

Around here in ldn its mainly those people throwing the rubbish in the water and obviously criminals / litter bugs / wind etc they also had to cut all the trees down along the river path as the boat people where using it for number 2's
