I have the two Beatle albums. You showed and I have Antholgy 2 twice. The second is one that came with DeAgostini collection. I nearly fell if my chair when you said the price Let it Be was going for.

You’re right about live and let die it is absolutely dreadful, which is a tragedy because I was looking forward to that song the most, but I really enjoyed the album Thank you for your point of you & thank you for exposing me to this gem I ignored for all these years. Hello Tone, thanks for another entertaining video. Recently, I have been filling the holes in my McCartney vinyl collection, to get the albums that I bought on CD when they were first released. The most expensive ones have been Off the Ground, Flaming Pie, Unplugged, and especially Kisses on the Bottom. I remember going to Musicland at my local shopping mall in 1986, to buy Press to Play. I went back and forth on whether to buy the vinyl LP or the CD. Finally, I chose the vinyl LP, even though the CD had extra songs. I don't know why I did that, but I'm glad that I did. I love Off the Ground. "The Lovers that Never Were" is magnificent. I have heard Twin Freaks on KZbin, and I really enjoy it. Congrats on getting the actual vinyl album!

Actually I dont have Kisses on the Bottom on vinyl and I forgot to mention that one amongst the ones Im not going to try and get as Im not a big fan of that album but I never say never I guess. It's funny you should mention Press to Play as this was the last vinyl album (beatles related) that I bought on vinyl as it came out. I didnt get a CD player until summer 1987 so the CD v Vinyl conundrum that you went through wasnt a issue for me , although it was one of the first few CDs I got when I did get my player. I did have the extra tracks because I bought all the 12" singles from the PTP album. There are some great tracks on Off the Ground - love both the Costello co-writes on that album as well as the dreaded Biker like An Icon. There is some weaker material on that album that brings it down a bit but some gold too. Thanks for a really great comment

Wow the Let It Be Naked vinyl is an astonishing find as the prices have gone to the moon & back over the last few years & although Macca's Off The Ground isn't a favorite of mine it's still a lovely piece of vinyl..... Having all 3 Anthology LPs is just perfect & all 3 sold together can easily reach 4 figures nowadays so what a find! I bought the Twin Freaks album on release & have played it.......Once!!! Will revisit it after your latest fab video Beatley Tone.

I think thete are two versions of Let it he naked. The first version had a typing mistake on the back at the bottom and has a thicker spine than the 2nd version. Thats how you can tell the difference great additions ur collection 👍👍

This was a fun chase story, subscribed! I recently cleaned up my parents old viny collection, my Give My Regards to Broadstreet was a WRECK...I know its not rare or treasured by many, but I loved that album at 11 and bought it with my own money. Snatched up a copy watching this!

Great video. I had never heard of the "Twin Freaks" LP until today. I have wanted to get LiB-Naked on vinyl for a while now, but too darned expensive! Plus others on my want lists are both BBC LPs, and most importantly, a UK mono Sgt Pepper from 1981. The one I have from that era has a stereo B-side. :(

From 1987 CD was my go to format and im just catching up now. Interesting that you prefer the original LIB. Hello BT. When i watched this i thought you lucky so and so for the purchase of twin freaks i've never seen this on vinyl in any shop ever. However it sent me scurrying to my Macca 12 inch singles collection which i don't play much it jogged a memory that there might be something, and i do have the really love you/lalula one sided etched version and also really love you one sided but not etched on the other, but lovely copy you have of twin freaks and a shame that hasn't been repressed or pressed on cd at least .Well done

Hi Beatleboy yes very pleased to get this finally . Im not sure it's an album that im going to play loads but quite refreshing from time to time. The singles you have are pretty rare. I think I read there were only 500 pressed. There's the etched one on ebay at the moment for £64. But yes there should a re-pressing of this and a Cd version I agree. Thanks for your comment

Great video. I really enjoyed it. Having been a Beatles fan since I was 12 ( my first purchase was the red double 62- 66) I went through the 70s buying vinyl and then converting my collection to CD. I never envisaged vinyl returning. I still have a lot of the vinyl copies I had collected and find myself starting again with some titles despite having everything they did on CD. This collecting gig is addictive. Keep up the great work, it’s a great channel.

Same here really - my gateway was the red and blue albums too and I had everything on vinyl up until 1986 and then I started buying everything on CD and didnt buy another record for about 30 years. Luckily I didnt do what a lot of people did, and that is to sell my old vinyl to find CD purchases so I still have all those early records. Great video! I picked up Let It Be…Naked on vinyl myself about 3 years ago. However I didn’t realise at the time how uncommon (and expensive) they are. I found it brand new still sealed in a record store (new old stock) and it wasn’t that expensive. I loaded it into Discogs and got a huge shock seeing the sell price. One of my prized possessions because I love the Naked version of let it be. Now I need to check out your other rare records!

The first one I did get this on Vinyl from the US and the UK and Thay are mint!!!And you know you did do well on your $:). Off the Ground is a great one to have on Vinyl as well and yes lol I do have this too. But it is great sounding much better than the CD!!! And now it too is a $$ one to get!!! Let it Be Naked is cool to have I sure do like it on Vinyl a lot better as well!! But not too fond of the 45 wow sad mate lol! The next one I do have too and yes it did come out on to CD as well. ! Wow, great pick-ups, Tone. And very nice from Mrs. Tone to make this beautiful birthday present. I recently picked up the 2013 BBC sessions (vol 1 and 2) on vinyl. Both still sealed and for a reasonable price... but not cheap either. I am still hoping to find the Anthology on vinyl, but in Germany, these records are rare and often very expensive. The let it be naked is a dream. I love the CD and it would be great to have it on vinyl too. Also, a big thank you for the hint regarding the polyline innersleves. This is exactly what I am looking for. I will give it a try for sure. Thanks a lot for another very entertaining video. And I love it, that there is always a story behind your things :-)

Good luck for your search for the Anthologies , they do look really nice on vinyl and much easier to read the sleeve notes etc. There always seems to be a few on ebay, not sure how much shipping to Germany would bump up the price though but keep searching, you may get lucky. Great to see Let it Be Naked on vinyl. Your set is probably the rarest one I have seen ? The 7" with only a label on side 1. Every other one I have seen has a label on both sides...... Yours could be unique........

Four great additions to your collection! I'm happy for you! Regarding Twin Freaks, I note that Spotify lists all 12 songs with the extension "04 - Summer Tour Remix" added to each title. Guess that proves your point. This music was most likely played prior to Paul and band entering the stage during that tour. I went to the show in Oslo that summer. Unfortunately I cannot remember hearing it back then. What I do remember is buying a red "Stop Land Mines" t-shirt. I still got it somewhere. 😀

Hi Tone, It's great when you finally pick up long wanted records. I'm beginning to realize how fortunate I am with my collection although I have been collecting since 1973... I have 3 of the albums you were showing, two of which I bought new from my local HMV. I don't have 'Off The Ground' so I am a tad envious of that one although I wasn't sure if there ever was a vinyl edition as I've never seen one until now. Once I acquire records I tend to forget about their availability. I'm often shocked as to how difficult to find and how expensive they can become. If I tell you I paid £15 for Twin Freaks when it came out and £25 for Let It Be Naked you will appreciate how often my jaw hits the floor when I see them on auction sites at the prices you mention.

Hi Andrew , well yes exactly this. Once I made the transition to CD in around 1987, I never bough another LP till round 2006 when I bought the Love album and that was only a one-off. I didnt fully go back to vinyl until lockdown in 2020, so I was unaware that these albums even had an LP release. Mind you, I never abandoned listening to records, or sold any of my old albums, I just stopped buying new ones. The prices of these now is pretty ridiculous but great that you stuck with it and got Freaks and Naked at a normal price. thanks for a great comment

@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Hi Tone, I too gave up buying vinyl in the 80's except for a few artists (mainly the Beatles & solo) where I bought both the CD and vinyl versions. In many cases there were more tracks on the CD than could fit on a single vinyl album so there was sometimes no contest. After a first play, I mainly play the CD as I'm now paranoid that I might damage the vinyl. Even more so given the current value of some of them. I even made a CD of Twin Freaks to play rather than risk the vinyl. It wasn't like this when I started. I bought the records to play. That is still my basic philosophy, all my records have been opened and played at least once.

I have to say, that as an owner of the original Anthology CDs, the vinyl editions look a lot better. As a side note, I've always wondered how many people who were Beatles-curious but not fans bought an Anthology album expecting a greatest hits package, listened to what they actually are, and returned, sold or gave them away.

Some great finds there. All would be ones I’m wanting too, but afraid to look just imagining the price. I’m kicking myself as my local record shop a year or two ago had all three Anthologies, plus one of the BBC vinyls. All sealed and all for about $50 or slightly less. I almost got the BBC one, but at the time I was really hunting for original Capitol albums and went for those instead. One of those CD era ones I’d really like is that Yellow Submarine Songtrack on yellow vinyl. One of these days I’ll really start hunting for that. There’s so little official Beatles colored vinyl.

Thanks Dustin. ive noticed that the Anthology albums do come up on ebay more regularly than the other albums in this video, so keep your eye out for a bargain. Ive got the Soundtrack on black vinyl but haven't seen one on Yellow Vinyl for a while - I wouldn't mind that either if the price was good but not busting a gut to get it. Haha Rob, well what I mean is that Im up to date with everything that I need that has already come out, but Im up for further releases especially if they carry on the coloured vinyl series. I dont have Kallax storage . I have some custom build shelves for records CDs, DVDs , books etc ...but if I didnt I would have a series of Kallaxs' (is that the plural?) as they generally look great. Let's hope that its a filing malfunction and not a burglary but its funny you should say that, because I had quite a few albums go walkabouts from my shelves that I didnt even notice until I went back to vinyl in 2020 which I can only assume have been nicked because the albums are too random to have simply been lost. If you look at photos of the Beatles after the time when they wore suits, and particularly in the late 60s, except for Ringo who was always well dressed, the other 3 wore horrible looking shoes and sneakers (trainers). Maybe this is the best that was available at the time in England ? None wore Doc Martens even though they’d get them cheaper than we do in the US.

Hi tone thanks for the reply, I posted it about two days ago, it was a very big rant and I can't remember half the things I said ,it was referring to your article about aren't beatles and mccartney albums hard to find, and the price,s they were charging for instance two to three hundred pounds for let it be naked just ridiculous, then I went on to say I managed to find some bargains, anthology 1 and 2 vinyl still shrink rapped for 25 pounds each, on ebay , and the beatles let it be six cd set on amazon for 35 pounds mind saying that I think thats all its worth the content could have been put on three discs. The rest of my rant I can't remember. So anyway keep up the good work and happy album hunting. Oh by the way I got my beatles naked cd out and found its the best sounding up till now, do you agree the clarity very clear, bye for now

great that you found Anthology 1 & 2 for £25, very good price. The sound quality on Let it Be Naked is excellent , however I think the remixed Let it Be is also excellent. With the box set you've git, Yes this probably would have fitted on 3 CDS but they wanted to match the vinyl version for the first time with this box set. Probably the book alone is worth more than £35 Charles so in my opinion , even if they had squeezed all the music onto 3 CDs I think the realistic price for this is around £80

@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel yes i have lots of vinyl plus there is also Spotify, i have a bootleg of Twinfreaks on cd, i actually live the album and was happy when i went into a random record store in Victoria BC Canada and found a sealed copy for $100 and the owner sold it to me for $80 as well as a numbered white album for $80

As rare as they are, no doubt that in time they will be re-pressed or remastered and reissued due to demand for the product. As much as I’d want a copy of those, I won’t buy them if the prices are ridiculously high. £300 for “Let It Be …Naked”? For professional flippers only.

Yes the prices can be crazy. there are not that many albums that reach that sort of money and Im sure if anyone actually selling LIB N achieved that price but ive seen it advertised for that. Its nuts !

You must be joking the price of the Let It Be Naked. Why didn't you buy it when was originally released. Think on day of release it was no more than £30.

Because I thought it was too cheap and I would wait another 20 years so I could pay 10 times as much ! But seriously the answer is simple, I bought it on CD when it came out - I wasnt buying vinyl by 2003 so didnt need it on vinyl. But anyhow £300 was just a priced that some chancer had it up on ebay for - that doesn't mean that they achieved that price for it. My wife wouldn't have paid anywhere near that amount for it.

@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel sometimes a song can reveal its hidden magic when you try to pick it with a musical instrument. I was quite stunned when I found how clever "Golden Earth Girl" is made. We often judge music by its finished production, not thinking what's lying inside the idea.
