It’s like, how do you retire what is essentially THE lightsaber!? I held off on buying it on my last visit but that was with the mindset that I’ll go back again and it’ll still be there. Was just at Galaxy Edge FL today and per the gather I purchased Count Dooku, Luke, Darth Vader and Lea sabers; he said Darth Maul is out but isn't in the vault yet. Ventress, Windu, temple guard are vaulted. Dark Saber will be in stock later this fall but is out for now. Per the gather at the Trading post in Disney Spring on this past Sat when I was there as well: he said the same and Darth Maul shipment should be there this Wed.

I was at Galaxy's Edge in Florida from Jan 21 - 26, 2022. They only had three models currently in stock: Luke Skywalker's lightsaber (ROTJ), Leia Organa's lightsaber, and Darth Maul's lightsaber. The catch is this: the stock is really low, so you have to get to the park early, before they run out. They also had plenty of darksabers for anyone looking for that one.

They had none of those except for the Ben Solo one when I went in June. They had the reforged “Rey” saber. I ended up getting the Leia one and the ROTJ Luke one. I build one later that evening. Anyway, it sucks that the original Anakin Skywalker saber is getting the boot. I wanted that one.

Someone who went 3 days ago said it’s still for sale but was sold out when they went. I mean reforged “Rey”, Leia, Ben, new Rey… maybe they’re cool on their own but they only appear on RoS which is no question the worst Star Wars since the prequels, I don’t expect anybody except the super fans or completionists to buy them. Disney has actually delivered pretty cool stuff for us “45 year olds” but I wish they would quit shoving their new movies down our throats and give the “old” movies some more love. They’re discontinuing actual cool sabers from other eras in favor of crap not many people will buy.

I couldn’t wait any longer, I so I thought, “What the hell?” and bought me an Ultimate Works Master Q Version 2 Qui-Gon Jinn neopixel lightsaber. Features include shiny piano black polish finish, deep handle grooves, Smoothswing fonts, Blaster block fonts, Flash on Clash fonts, Tip Drag fonts, Color-changing blade, Qui-Gon phrases from Episode I, Duel of Fates theme, etc. I’ll purchase Cal’s hilt when I go back to Disneyland in December and hopefully Disney will consider making a Qui-Gon hilt.

It sucks that the non reforged Skywalker lightsaber is gone because I'm collecting the Skywalker lightsabers, it kind of works with just having the reforged one but I was leaving the two Skywalker ones and vader till last. Got a ben solo lightsaber on the way, so that's good, only got vader and reforged left, unless I want to spend £600+shipping and customs (so screw that). Hopefully the Skywalker lightsaber will return just relabeled as the Skywalker lightsaber.

I'm so upset that they got rid of the original Skywalker saber. I just got into this lightsaber hobby and I really want a nice graflex saber. I saw the legacy saber on a review and wanted one instantly and they are a very reasonable price compared to most saber companies out there for the hilt. I also had plans of converting it into a neopixel blade with a CFX or Proffieboard. My disappointment is immeasurable.

I was at Disneyland TODAY (9-11-2021) Darth Maul is NOT discontinued. At The store today I saw: leia’s saber, Rey’s forged saber, Ahsoka Tano Clone Wars saber (bought those), Darth Maul saber, Darth Vader Saber, Ben Solo saber, Kylo Ren saber. They also told me Rey’s scavenger saber would be back and there were no plans to discontinue that one.

So glad I recently obtained the following: The original classic ANH Luke / “Rey”; Darth Vader; 2- Jedi Temple Guards (and a 3D printed coupler for the “Pike” configuration); Ahsoka Tano silver set (long and short blue/green color changing sabers in one case). Retiring the classic “Luke/Rey” saber is ridiculous!!! That is the first, most iconic Lightsaber seen in Star Wars and has been seen the most across the movies since 1978!… Dumb…. Oh well, glad I have one. Darth Maul was never a favorite, but would have been nice in the collection, after of course saving a small fortune for 2… Lol. The next one I REALLY desire for my collection hasn’t been released yet, but hopefully it will one day soon… The ORIGINAL “Ben (Obi Wan) Kenobi” from the original Star Wars ANH. Until then, my next will have to be the second “Luke” (similar to Ben’s) saber from ROTJ. Thanks for the great update… and May The Force Be With You… ;o)

I went to WDW today and they had 5 lightsabers for sale. Ben Solo, Leia, Skywalker Reforged, Darth Vader, and the Darksaber. It was a disappointing trip since we really wanted Rey's, but I did pick up Ben Solos.

I hope they are cycling these as the years go by. I just got into collecting lightsabers and I'm really disappointed to hear that a lot of my favorite characters are discontinued.
