I think Marcus teaching style will soon be the go to for many coaches. Seems there is just no other way, especially for those who pick up the game later in life.

I'll tell you, this resonated with me in a big way, reminiscent of the "ah ha" moment from watching the Tim Yelverton series you did. That said, you seem to have since moved on to a lot of Martin Ayers instruction - Did you eventual abandon Marcus's concept in favor of other avenues? Likewise, I saw some newer content with the Koepka move that sort of contradicts some of Marcus's stuff. Right leg bent vs right leg extension. I was just curious your take on it all, or anyone else's for that matter. I know this one is 5 months old, but it was a VERY interesting concept, feeling the swing, feeling the action as you body naturally wants to move. Last digression... This concept reminds me of another thought/feel exercise that would fit in nicely with Tim's stuff. In a recent golf training video with tiger they did something so simple, but so paradigm shifting for me to get you to feel how you want to hit a chip. You simply stand over your ball, take a ball in your hand and underhand toss it at the flag. Immediately my body did everything Tim was explaining, because that's the way your body naturally wants to move for that simple action. Repeat this with the club, and you'll find the ball takes the same flight path and same distance as your toss (depending on club selection). I use that exercise regularly now when practicing chipping, and it has made a huge difference - I think this is why Marcus's concept was speaking to me. Thanks for all your content!

Tried the putting-along-a-ruler exercise. Works really well! I am now much more confident with short putts but also, as you said, more confident with longer puts, chips, etc. One thing I found - when I used to putt towards the hole, the 'runway' I used to putt along, so to speak, was the width of the hole. Now it looks an inch wide and I can really aim at a part of the hole. Brilliant, thanks!

I've been doing this for 9 years using Shawn Clement instruction (look at his video bilateral vs unilateral movement, throwing clubs, create serious speed) and Marcus is correct about being able to just go to the tee and drive a ball without any warming up , etc (although you should really warm up to limit injury). Sometimes I don't hit a ball for 6-7 months but can walk onto a tee and drive the ball pretty well and consistently throughout the day (it's like riding a bike). Short game is a different kettle of fish!

Great content, Brendon and Marcus. Tons of people need to learn the natural movements to create power effortlessly. This is how golf should be taught rather than a series of static positions.

How was your experience using the mevo+ pro for ball flight & clubface data? on your best drive in a month, shot tracer shows a slight fade, but mevo called it a pull draw (face-path L1.0, path L1.2). which is correct?
@BEBETTERGOLF
@BEBETTERGOLF Жыл бұрын
It was a pull draw mevo plus was right. The tracer is only really good for start line the rest is a guesstimate. TBH I have used mevo before and didn’t like it but this was my first time using the plus and it is MUCH better and the AWESOME golf software makes it way better than out of the box.

@@BEBETTERGOLF that is so good to know♥ ! something that is good on the range. mevo+ pro i see from reviews isn't the best indoors because as radar it needs the ball to fly certain distance. did not know that tracer is only good for start line. CHEERS!

Based on this video and drills, does the left side lead the swing on the back and forward swing?
@holidayincydonia
@holidayincydonia Жыл бұрын
There are many philosophies regarding this. They great Bobby Jones believed it best to lead with the lead arm/side. However many others through the course of the modern era espouse emphasis with ones dominant side instead. Part of the journey of discovering your own optimum technique in this wonderful game is to experiment , and enjoy trying all manner of new things. Eventually you'll begin to realise what gives you the best results for your *own* game...

Great stuff, your follow through was much more around and rotated than usual. Like a Duval. Also reminded me of that sleeve drill with no left arm in it. He made you change your pattern with other feels and motions. Essentially like a left handed frisbee throw with verticals. Fun to see the progression.

This response is more for the prior video. I have had what I've called hundreds of "breakthroughs" before, which almost always turned out to be a false sense of improvement. However, Mr Bell's instruction has changed my iron play. For the first time, an instructor didn't just say, hey, you need to compress the ball. Mr. Bell actually showed people how to do it. My driver, on the other hand, is a big fat pile of doggy dung with a side of crap fries. I'm hoping this video and some time to implement it will lead to some driver revelation because that club is absolutely a mystery to me.

It still amazes me that you have managed to build a successful KZbin channel and I mean this with no disrespect I do like you your a commen golfer trying to get better and share what you are learning and I appreciate that but I feel your extremely disrespectful to your guests and at times its difficult to watch examples you constantly cut them off in middle of there conversation and to me even worse is when they are answering one of your questions it appears like your not even engaged in conversation constantly looking elsewhere or walking around instead of showing your guest that they have 100 percent of your attention I understand you probably have a very short attention span but I mean this guy flew half way across the world to film with you least you could do is stay focused on him Like I said I'm trying not to make this a personal attack just observations to improve your channel and guest experiences
