A few tips I can share is go to a zone where the "rich" & "retired" people are at (since they are likely going to be the best and biggest tippers)...this could be a small town where there is some countryside but has a population say about 7.5k - 10k (and a zone that no one would think about hustling out of) or could be a high-traffic city that say has 50k - 60k (but this would bring more attention from other gig drivers). The second tip is work on the busiest days say Friday - Monday since people are going to want to re-stock on these days for the next work-week or next week's activities (pay attention to the busy time metrics on the app...this would give a clue on when to work and how long you have to work).

Is there a reason I get most offers on a Tuesday around 1-6pm. I mean a lot of good offers. Today (Wednesday) I only did about $80. I never get orders in the morning and I activate it at 8am

Your zone has been slow not spark. My one is popping all day every day. Made 1300 this past week, 1100 last week. Work 8 hours a day 5 days a week. So don't say spark is slow

See, last week Tuesday & Friday were high-paying for me. This Tuesday, is was super slow to almost non-existent. Friday was a little better but still different. And I always park in the lot or near the Pickup area. Not sure the proximity matters anymore or it was just a very bad week cause of summer. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I understand your process, but based economics is a 50-50 split, unless you’re in the area that is a high volume you setting limits of $15 or more is unrealistic, but like you said you need to have boundaries so if you do it as part time status that makes sense Satoshi trying to pay bills it doesn’t

How many miles do you think you drive for $100? I have a hybrid that goes 30-35 miles on battery before switching to gas. Trying to min max while I languish in the waiting pool on my area.

Man a hybrid would be amaaaazing! Well done, usually it takes 5 orders to get passed $100. Typically I’m only going an average of 8 miles per order. So let’s say for a round number of 80 miles.

These are all awesome tips. One tip that I noticed lately is to park as close as possible to the dot on the map to get the best offers first. You have to zoom all the way in to see exactly where that spot is. It’s somewhere in the parking lot and It’s different for every store. I noticed a huge difference in the orders I get when I am sitting on the parking lot spot versus when I am just really close or somewhere else in the store or parking lot. Might be worth testing at your stores! I use Solo too but I don’t think it shows the different zones. If it does,I couldn’t figure it out.

On your first order of 24.84, how much of that money is tip money and how much per week do you usually get that is unconfirmed that you get stiffed for and do you continue to deliver to those same addresses?

I have never had a single dropped tip. 🤞fingers crossed that stays true. $11.38 was the tip amount on that particular order. I’m not sure how much is tip vs non per week. I don’t usually keep up with that statistic.

Not too for from Tupelo, I’m in Florence AL and do well with Spark, Ubereats, and DoorDash. I’m originally from NE Mississippi and I’ve wondered about the markets. I met a guy from Corinth who drive to Florence to DoorDash. So that market must not do well.

But if you don't take the orders, your acceptance rate will drop and you'll get less orders...

There is sometimes a correlation between acceptance rate and number of orders. I haven’t found one with Walmart spark. Mine has been as low as 10% and as high as 100%. The amount of orders remained the same. Now, with food delivery I saw a direct correlation. Also, keeping a limit to how little you want to get paid is a perfectly healthy boundary. Although they may send you had orders, as an independent contractor you control the dollar amount you are willing to accept. Not the company you work with.
