Fall is my favorite time of year too. I’m at an age where I try to not rush the seasons as I once did; however, this year with all the heat and drought we’ve had in my area of TN I am SO ready for fall. I love your picnic table arrangement. You are unique among my garden channels and I like it! 😄

OMG this video needs a warning label! It’s 11:38pm and I’m in bed with my husband who’s asleep. I was fully expecting plant shopping to be the answer, but when you sat down to watch the paint dry I laughed so hard I nearly woke hubby! I’m going to have to switch to watching your videos in the morning! 😂 PS the painted benches and table with the freshly potted plants as a centrepiece looks spectacular. Nicely done, Nick.

I’d rather watch paint dry too than going plant shopping…not! That was great! I like to do arrangements on my picnic table too, however we are in the middle of a patio cover build so everything is dirt and a mess at the moment around my table. Thankfully I’ve been able to keep gardening the rest of the yard tho. Love your humor!

Hey I live in central Ohio too. Meijer is having a clearance 50% off plants sale right now!! I got 5 hostas, 3 veronicas, 3 coral bells & a vanilla strawberry hydrangea for $60. They had lots of hostas and some were $2.50 each! The table looks awesome! Love that color. ❤

Love the container very pretty!! I just seen Meijer has 50 to 75% off perennials if you have a store near you. They almost always have a great selection of huechera's and end up being around $4 or $5 each great deal!

I've been fighting voles for 3 yrs now. Consider doing a video on how you manage voles and gophers. I use cages for raccoons, groundhogs then take then to a nearby forest. But voles are too small to trap in a cage. I am now planting in wire mesh bags then putting inches of grave around plant. I cut bottom of plants so voles cannot hide easily. A cat would help but I have neighbors and don't want an outside cat to bother them. I did try putting hot pepper, garlic and onion powder, cinnimon, castor oil around plants but did not work. I did plant daffodil bulbs around plants because voles will not eat them. Thanks!

I had voles as well, and I bought fox urine (granular form), as recommended by a friend. I sprinkled the granules (sandy substance with fox urine in it) at the outer edges of my flower beds. It did the trick quickly. Of course, you may need to reapply after rain. I never had any more voles after a few applications. It also worked for shrews. Sure hope this works for you.

Good morning from Middle Tennessee! Enjoyed the video and love the paint color on the benches and table. I read somewhere that honey bees are attracted to paint as they use it to make propolis. 🤷 I like the mix of plants you used in the large planter, and the trio of plants on the table is perfect. Any insect, fly, bee with be interested in the cat food, i had a pussycat i used to feed outside and had so many flies, and bees around the food i had to stop then i adopted the cat so that was no longer an issue, but that is why and the last thing you want is for a bee to sting pussycat which they can do, you may have to look at an alternative idea xx
