When do you put the water in the bottom of the trays?
@NicksBackyardBloomsСағат бұрын
Once the plants have started to grow so that their roots can take up the water. I would say I’ll probably start pouring water in the reservoir in a few weeks. I’ll definitely be waiting until they have all sprouted and the humidity domes come off.

I'll be winter sowing mine. I don't think I'll be able to do indoor seeds.

I don't start seeds until mid February , I'm in Utah and start my seeds indoors. I do have a shelf and a couple lights this year, I even bought a cheap heating pad last year, I usually grow them in my East facing window so it will be exciting to see the difference in how they grow this year on a shelf.

Nice set up. I was late on ordering my seeds, but they are on their way. I did take cuttings from my Coleus and Wandering Jew, so I do have those. I am so ready for spring.

I can't find your shop on Amazon, I checked Instagram for a link and I didn't see anything there either.

If you look at the description under the video playing you will see the word more. Click that and then there will be a longer description and at the end of that will say more. Click that then scroll down just a bit and a link to his storefront will be there. Hope this helps.

The seed will be able to get light with the vermiculite on top of them?😊❤
@NicksBackyardBloomsСағат бұрын
Yes, that’s one of the great things about vermiculite! It allows light to pass through.

I used to dread snow and fog, cause I delivered mail in a very rural area. it was hard to get up to the boxes. I am retired now so don't mind the snow so much. Seems like we are getting a lot of rain this year, not so much snow that lasts. Everything is muddy. Waiting on my seed order so was getting my greenhouse and trays ready yesterday also. Your yard does look wonderful with the snow though.

I’ve loved your greenhouse since day1- it’ is lovely! Odd that your Meyer lemon is struggling. Mine do well in an unheated garage or sunroom in winter (zone 7) and outdoors all spring/summer til frost. Even if it loses every leaf, it may do just fine. Last year one of mine got nipped by cold and we were sure it was dead. There was no green under the bark. We cut it Back to an inch above soil and put it out in the sun in the spring, watered it & fed it sporadically. I Never let it get too wet except if it rains heavily. We probably fed it more often than not in the hopes that it would come back. I was ready to pitch it, but noticed tiny green buds in late June. It grew 4’ since and has a big lemon on it now in my unheated dark garage, where it is likely to stay all winter. I will water every 3/4 wks lightly until it can go outside again. Good luck!

I am also in Ohio 6B, and grow/like a lot of the same flowers you list here! I start most of my seeds via winter sowing. I started my lisianthus Voyage 2 mix seeds in my Aerogarden seed starting insert a few days ago, and have had good luck with this method so far. Hope you will keep us posted on how your seeds do. Nice video!
