I would, I think 1 point per 4 recoveries for a defender, 3 for a midfielder and 2 for a forward would be very balanced and will make defenders not worse than forwards ​@@cbr19922

When Kamada played under Glasner at Frankfurt, he was a box crashing #10, almost like a second striker(Ala Dele Alli). Really good for goals and assists. With Olise leaving, I think Kamada will play in that #10 role with Eze and make runs in to the box

@@croissantpower Well, overperforming xA like this isn’t something you can keep on doing so I’m sure we’ll see a decrease in assists, not sure how many goals he’d score so he’ll be an interesting fpl asset but I doubt he’ll get a similar amount of total points Villa in general overperformed so I don’t know what they’ll do this season, even though their transfer window has been incredible, I don’t think they’ll be as good as they were last season

I really hope that the rest of Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool players are way more expensive than last year. It makes the twitter template team less obvious. Watching and following content creators in the last couple seasons has been a bit boring too because they've all had almost identical teams. But still i really appreciate these videos and the work you put into them Andy!

Fpl Focal, Andy, fpl Raptor, fpl Harry, Ben Crellin, Dayvy fpl, fpl Fran, BigManBakar etc all got top 50k positions, or in other words among top 0,5% of fpl players, that's not excatly doing terrible. And these creators also regularly put up those numbers, so it's not just getting lucky one season.

Villa we're in Europe last season, albeit it in the conference league, but they played on a Thursday, so had less rest time than the CL teams, but still finished 4th and went further in Europe than any other English side. Lots of early transfer activity, so could potentially replicate last season.

These new prices are gonna make us need to make more transfers of premium players to own them at the right time, or miss out on big hauls, and make teams more varied, which is great. I wonder if it will reduce overall participation though, as the game will be harder for the more casual players

The one thing to bear in mind this season is how affected by having played in Euros the players will be. They may carry some fatigue with less of a rest over the summer.

Palmer is an avoid at that price in my opinion, his points were massively inflated by penalties last season. It’s unlikely Chelsea will get anything close to 12 penalties again

he scored 9 out of 9, it’s standard for top 6 teams to get that amount of penalties a season so he’ll score a similar amount, and even if he only gets 5-6 it wouldn’t change a lot, him only scoring penalties is bullshit. He got 13 goals and 11 assists if you take away his penalties, more than Saka and Salah, similar numbers to Foden, in less minutes played, which is still an impressive amount worthy of the £10.5m price tag. Besides that, Chelsea can only improve compared to last season, he’s got the most points and the highest G/A in a team that finished 6th. The first 3 games he didn’t play as he was still at City, the next 3 he came off the bench since he joined Chelsea while the season had started. That’s 6 extra games to get a few goal contributions, so he might even improve compared to last season since he can now play a full season.

@@Larsd69 this is just my opinion and I never said Palmer only scored pens, I actually think he’s a great player. I just see him scoring less this season and so I’d rather have someone like a Saka at that price instead. I’m not saying you can’t pick Palmer though!

I semi agree, the price is absolutely fair, you can’t have a top 5 attacker in the prem being down at 7 or 8 mill so I think 10.5 is right. However, I do think chelsea will get less penalties but then you also expect Palmer to take another leap and improve as a player. On the flip side, if Chelsea can stay injury free they have an unbelievably good team so perhaps goals will be spread around the side more with Nkunku, Jackson settling in more, Enzo playing further forward, Madueke progressing. So it’s something to consider but that’s why I think Palmer’s price is perfect, he shouldn’t be a shoe in because he’s so cheap.

I much prefer the Euro format with the ball recoveries and the subs between match days. Would be really interesting to be able to sub between Sat/Sun. But the ball recoveries is a game changer - it makes different players viable options and evens the playing field for all players. Wish they would change that.

Think there are too many days for the subs to be viable in FPL considering there are games Friday and Monday sometimes.. Ball recoveries is 100 percent needed though

I love fantasy games as much as anyone but I just think that would be too much focus over a whole PL season. Point scoring additions and chips would be a more welcome addition to keep it fresh without changing the core mechanics too much

@@bioversity8584 The difference is that while some of the Euro GW are over a few days, the number of games are fairly distrubted across the gamedays, while a gw in fpl could be 1 game Friday, 5 Saturday, 4 Sunday and 1 Monday, meaning subs become a lot more meaningless. It also is a wildy different game with just 7 gw vs 38. Keeping people engaged over a whole season is already tough with plenty of dead teams. Adding subs would force people to be a lot more engaged through the gameweek and that will also mean a lot more will drop out after a few gw where they forgot to use their subs (now people can end up dropping out missing a deadline or two)...
