Why do you think YT shadow ban my channel and stunt it's growth - because they know who I follow and what I watch. I can tell you that they noticed me on October 15 2018 and slugged my channel with a huge handicap on that day. despite the huge increase in video production quality etc. the growth has been slow - all of the million veiw videos were before this date.

"I better be careful what I rave on about..." No, Dave, by all means, rave on. It was good to listen to what you had to say while you were rigging the shot. This was a great video because you can clearly show how much calculation and judgement goes into setting up and laying out a job. You need a couple of apprentices.

Apprentices with conditions, like, "after you're competent, go off to Burma and blast away." In another life I went through a demo school in the Army. But the tools and demo we had and the targets we were expected to take down didn't require much thought and calculation. Thing is, your experience shows that you know how to take a look at a site and know pretty much what will be required...but I'm willing to bet you still do the math to make sure everything is smashed the way you'd like. @@demolitiondavedrillandblast

Hi Dave, nice video, really well composed and the audio was great. I honestly don't mind a bit of background noise as it adds to the knowledge that you are on a work site and working with/around the needs of others. Here in northern Scotland we have had our first frosts of autumn. Last year we got down to -17°C and lowest we have experienced was -24 during 2010's horrible 6 months of snow winter. Hi from Vancouver Island. Nice looking work. The long holes must have been err long ;). I thought I was going to see you drill a cut at first on the sump but then remembered you were looking at boulders not solid rock. I was wondering how you were going to proceed with that but it was not to be. I saw you lining up the rods so it would have been interesting watching how you would go about lining up you cut. That hook looks like it could use a thumb in the opposing direction. Then they could pick and pick at the same time. Do they do that? I'm sure they know best. Nice video. I like watching you work This is the first time I have seen you connect all the components in that blasting system. The mike seems to work good. Thanks for posting Dave.

Thanks for watching and contributing, The long holes here were only 1.8m, I'm quite happy to do that, I get a bit standoffish when they want me to go beyond 3m with a hand drill, but I do have 4.5m rods - try not to use them very often. I do enjoy my work, My previous career is where the real skills are, in a completely different field. My first love was designing and building radio transmitters, that grew into planning, installation, commisioning and maintenance of wide area radio communications networks... And then one day I realised that my job had ruined my hobby and I walked away.

Never thought of it from that angle but I do find the work kind of therapeutic, nearly as good as the time that we substituted clay targets for a big box of old alpha-numeric pagers. - I had to repair these things at one stage of my career.

Various uses, not often that it gets wasted, often gets used on site for wall building or other landscaping works, or it end up at a garden supply place for others to buy and use for similar works. or the crusher.

Ive been following your channel for the last 4 years. Is there a drill that you prefer, you are able to drill a lot of holes without to much apparent fatigue. I have a couple of old Holman Drills, and a Chicago CP32. The CP32 is by far the fastest machine, but is ferocious to use, especially with short drill steels. The old Holman are much gentler, but take a lot longer. I believe their weight has a lot to bare on how comfortable they are. I drill hard granite, mostly down to about 1.8 metres in central Vic north of Beaufort. I recall you mentioning in a previous video about lowering the air pressure to 90 PSI; is this the secret to using the CP32?
@demolitiondavedrillandblast
@demolitiondavedrillandblast 8 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for tuning in and contributing. The CP32 is a good drill but a bit light, the big Red drill that I recently got is a CP69 (lot heavier that the 32) and this is excellent to use on 90 PSI, very similar in feel to my old Holman Silver Bullet - both about the same size and weight. What Holman drills do you have? I have a SL9G, Silver 3, Silver 70 and Silver Bullet.
