Trying to tell him a second time, turn your drill setup 90° so that it goes along the dirt lines and not perpendicular. That way you can place far more T1 drills in a row. Ideally you'd place the line further back, right against the border of T2 dirt (just before where the drill went "ping"), to have maximum yield.

Z you litterally built this mine BACKWARDS! in this mine the deeper back you go the better the nugget sizes as for your sorting system build it at the pond in a 2 level system 4 rows of 3 regular conveyors on bottom sorter over the middle Centralizers under the sorters (takes some work) this system will allow you to change direction of your sorters & eliminates the need for funnels + it allows you to get 100% of the mining area area drill covered. Also the Tinging drills means you hit T 2 Dirt so you need T2 drills.

If you want to boost the speed of you system you should craft the intake boosters and add them to the intake pipe before replacing all the puppies. Intake boosters increase the max pressure intake in your system.

21:00 For auto repair logic, you need one (== T piece), keypad, regular T piece, few straight and few curves. Connect the '=' sign on the Reader, connect the keypad on the second '=' sign and put the value 10 on the keypad, on the "==" free side connect the spanner repair thing and that's it :D Basically, you need to compare 2 values, one from the reader and one from the keypad, if it is matched (==) then send signal to the repair unit and that's it. Basically, filter stop works when durability reaches 10 and below, so on the keypad you can put minimum 10, just in case I always put 11. So, durability of filters goes slowly from 100 to 0 and that's all you need to know for logic to wire it. Just compare 2 inputs and send signal if match. Example, on keypad it's 10, reader reads 20, it is not equal and spanner thingy will not shoot, it will shoot only if those 2 numbers are equal. Hope it help a little :D

22:40 you need an equals to to check against a durability. the readers output a number every second regardless of whether the thing is broken or not. you have to check this output otherwise it just constantly activates the fixer

Easier to put an inverter in between so when the filter gets to zero it switches to a 1 and activates the repair.

@@DeathBean89 No, it doesn't. The flip flop gets a signal and simply outputs a 1 and then a 0 then a 1 then a 0. He should have chewed through his repairs in 8 second. So clearly it didn't work. An inverter between the two would work just fine, or a logic equals and numberpad would also work to set the reader = logicpad 0 then it would fire a repair.

Yes, he has the setup correct. The inverter is the key here. Fires a 1 only when durability is zero, and zeros when not. You can do a similar setup with inverters and the Not when zero before them to only send a 1 thru that converts to a zero at the flip to reset the counter logic device. I use this on the Gem Compressor to auto compress them at a certain count.

You need to put the cloudium intake pipe on so you can achieve better water pressure, with so many things attached to that tier one intake pipe it is a wonder how it is not struggling already

the forge mine does not go down by deep, as you get deeper it goes from tear 1 dirt to tier 2 dirt. that is why the miners do not work, the ground too hard so need the tier 2 miners. you can test it using your 2 different pickaxes.

The best way to set up icehelm is rows 3,5,6,8 for t1 drills from left to right, right now you have you drills set up forwards to back rows 3-8 on the left side. Icehelm is the only mine you think in rows rather then depth. T1 dirt 1-8 (8) deep, t2 dirt 9-14 (6) deep, t3 dirt 15-20 (6) deep. Hope this helps

Logic line A (on the side of the magnifying glasses) reeds a signal of x durability. Put a == sign in there (an attachment you can buy) and on the B side should be a keypad that you enter a value on. The output will send a signal when A (durability) is the same as B (value you put in), so the output is the repair attachment and will repair when the durability is the same as your value (I have it at 5).

Z if you want to start replacing pipes you can start at the end and work your way to the beginning, with the cloutium intake pipe being the last piece you replace. I think you can technically replace the intake pipe while still having the T1 pipes, but you will get that pressure blowout animation from the intake pipe until you've replaced all the iron pipes with cloutium pipes.

5:00 You need T2 drills for that spot, it is T2 soil, you can check it with T1 pickaxe where is the border. Currently there is T1, T2 soil to work with and T3 (only exploitable by mods). I was mention that few episodes back ;)

If you're going for a second level of your mining house, I would come from the top then work down with the rake, to try and simply the process hopefully... For the tech stuff, you'll need a number pad, to set a number for when the filters need repair, other wise, with how you have it set up right now, it'll just read 1 damage and then repair, eating your wrenches faster Also, go Hammer Time on everything! So that you don't accidentally pull something out, and cut on the lag from having so many things!

The logic repair setup, from what I've seen online it would work without the logic flip if you start with the reader and just go down the line until you reach the spanner thrower. If you don't care about the spanner costs, you could have a single reader on the first filter attached to spanner throwers trained on ALL the filters, when the first one (which takes the most damage) breaks, it fixes all of them.

What you should do for logic is get a logic reader to read what the signal is being sent. It's always best to not assume what we know is being read, and get a readout of what actually is being sent and go from there. Because we don't actually know right out the gate what the durability reader is reading. It could be reading durability out of 100 or durability out of 1, where 100 or 1 is the max durability and anything lower (i.e. 67/100 or 0.8/1) is what's being displayed.

Z is real good at missing details. It's a common "complaint" that I've made. That being said, here's what I see that I think he should attend to: 1) He needs to get a Construction Hammer and LOCK EVERYTHING DOWN. That'll prevent him from picking up something that he doesn't want to pick up on a regular basis. 2) Finish the logic setup to keep the Filters working. For testing purposes, I'd actually have placed it on the FIRST filter as it's the most likely one to break. 3) Monitor his Cloutium supply and build the T2 Harvester FIRST, as that will be required for T2 Dirt. So he'll need to get the T2 Harvester "blueprint" to place on the Plinth, which requires coins to purchase and then probably Cloutium and Iron to produce. 4) Get a single T2 Miner with 1k Iron and 300 Cloutium, confirm it works (it should), and check the results. Along the way, as he has time (which should be plentiful while he produces all the Resources he needs), he can raise the ceiling by another square, clean it up, and potentially prep a second level of mining. He'll need to test if he can set up a level of Dirt on top of a floor or if it has to be "free floating". Some people have commented about Intake Boosters, but I think that's something for down the line. I haven't looked at it myself, but is there a good return on the investment necessary?!? Just some preliminary thoughts, having just completed watching the vid...

Dig holes in your ceiling and use nukes to dig out the ceiling. It does take more money but a huge time saver. Then you can use the rake to flatten everything out.

nah, pieces get stuck in mid air if you reload the game. Have seen that plenty in my savegame. just turn off drills and let the conveyors run dry before closing the game and it should be fine.

The Logic Flip hook is a NOT gate it turns on to off (>=1 to 0) and off to on(0 to 1), it's not a toggle, that would be the flip flop.

You're right, it's a logical NOT gate. But with his setup, the spanner thrower will fire only when the durability hits zero, since the signal will be flipped to a one. Anything greater than zero will send a zero.

Yes, it is a NOT gate, but the durability reader sends a 0 only when it reads a zero as durability, and the not gate turns the zero to a 1, thus firing the wrench. Any other reading is going to be a 1 or greater, and the NOT gate turns these to 0, which will not fire the wrench. You identified the gate directly, but misunderstood how it works. Place a logic reader to display values on the wire and you will see it.

make Onyx Rings for max money! there should be a way to set the value the reader must reach before it deploys a Wrench to fix it also check your crystal power supply and add new bars to boost pressure. if necessary, shift a hammer drill down to leave a gap and put in a pressure booster. that should let you run the remaining drills to the end of the conveyor.

@Z1_gaming you hit level 2 dirt and you need to get a Magnifying Glass it will show you the damage and other info that is helpful you also are hitting small piece of dirt causing things not to be placed. you may want to look into Centraliser Hook it will make everything go down the middle of the conveyor belts

I think you can mix and match the iron and cloudium pipes but it might start steaming. And maybe the drills don't work because the farther back you go the harder the dirt is so you might need a tier 2 drill. But that's just what I think. :)

Tier 2 starts at 9th block and you started placing drills at 3rd so you can only place 6 before you ned better ones with your build - someone did mention how this mine works in one of previous videos - if you dont know how drills react will certainy make you wonder what is going on (had similar exerience before) The logic wont work in this setting. You should serch video on auto rapair to understand how it should work

Get a logic indicator so you know that the durability reader reads current durability, thus it has value >0 thus hurler hurls. counting the length of the wire you used - local NOT gate shall do the trick. otherwise use equals comparator and numpad with 0

The logic error is painful... Just put an inverter between the two, not a flip-flop. That way it will only fix the filter when the filter's durability hits 0. Hopefully you see this comment or someone else's pointing this out before your next episode. Also, the drills didn't work because they are t1 drills on t2 dirt. You need upgraded drills for t2 dirt. Good luck on future projects! I'll be watching, even if it is sometimes painful to watch.

Your hitting tier two dirt. But, that drill is only made for tier 1 dirt. To mine that far in you would need the iron and cloutium tier 2 drill. It's the same as a normal mine except your mining across not down.
