The way I describe the setting is it takes "real" Appalachian Folklore and blends it with homebrewed eldritch horror in an alternate 1920s America. The mining and rail companies dug too deep and awoke "something" under the mountains that they made deals with. That barely skims the surface of this witch's brew, but it gives people the gist.

Guys how difficult is this setting to grasp as GM and for players?

It’s based on a real place so it will be pretty easy I think.

@@MrTarrasque Thanks for the reply. I should have asked with more detail. The 30 somethings that I DM in 5e D&D only know 5e D&D so mechanic wise can this setting work under 5e mechanics. Sorry should have been clearer what I was lookin for.

Ah yes you could but everything in the book is written for the Cypher system so you’d need to come up with monsters ect for 5e. Since it’s an alternate history setting, non of the 5e classes will make any sense. You’d need to take a look at some of those games for 5e and use that on this setting.

@@MrTarrasque Again thanks. I always appreciate how you take time for your audience. I'll have to look into the Cypher system and if I like it I'll check out this setting.
