No need to apologise for the occasional 'um' or 'ah'. Your clips are well presented and I value them for the knowledge you bring too . Keep up the good work and don't let the B....s get ya down.

Totally agree, it never ever bothered me!

G'day Doofer, great to see you back in our feeds. Thanks for the updates, particularly on the new MS FS. I think that being very suspicious of any claim from MS is a good starting policy. While the snippets they've shown us so far are very pretty, they leave so much out. The proof will be in the beta version I think, it's only then we can truly get excited. Thanks for all your amazing videos, you are my go-to guy for FSX tutorials.

Can't imagine it's not going to be subscription based. How else are they going to finance the massive server infrastructure needed to stream the map? I can only think of two alternatives: Either the one-time base price has to be extremely high or they have to find sponsors, which would mean lots of Ads in the game.

The 2020 flight simulator looks easier than the others although i must tell you the concord simulator that British Airways had was or looked very complicated to me i haven't been in the French simulator although i would love to have tried it a few years ago but now being a pensioner i now unfortunately have to stay in the ground i loved my flying so enjoy it now while you can and keep well stay safe thank you for sharing the videos

So maybe, just maybe we can expect an update on controllers too. That would awesome! I wish to have bran new MS Sidewinder 3 HOTAS with strong Force Feedback.

i wish force feedback was more than just a novelty (for me at least). i do however desperately want resurrect the sidewinder line of joysticks
@billymkirkwood49565 жыл бұрын
@@travisbeamon5356 I used to own a sidewinder.. yeah could really do with a decent modern force feedback for buffet and E bracket value to make it even more realistic feel

The fact that a rivalling company (Dovetail) is mentioned by name in a press release makes this whole statement sound sort of fatherly for lack of a better words. It sure instilled rather hope than fear for my favourite flightsim.

I just want to see VOX ACT it really would help us real pilots too. Next gen is going to just text you instruction in the very near future so read backs won't be necessary but human ATC will still be there. Who else would like to see this.

Doofer, good show! Regarding subscription, it appears MFS is going to be heavy on the data side. Therefore, the possible non-subscription version, may not be as good as a possible subscription version, which would probably use the cloud to download the required data for the full experience. Also, from a revenue point of view, Microsoft will want to generate a continuous revenue stream you would think. Just my thoughts.

Joss, you use firefox.... a wise choice!!😎. I think MSFS2020 is still very exciting and a lot of my previous concerns continue to be quashed. I cant really see any spanners in the works now, what is your thoughts on this?

I have a feeling that whatever computer you have, no matter your GPU...it's all obsolete when FS2020 comes out. I wonder what people like A2A, REX, ORBX and others are wondering? You will need a super computer to run this thing...hooked up to a nuclear power supply. I run FSX (boxed) I suspect they will have a way for us to upgrade to FS2020 at a reduced price...
@milo40085 жыл бұрын
Why do you think so? The reason why you need ridiculous hardware to run P3D/FSX addons is because they are so poorly designed and optimized. Other games have ten times better graphics than P3D/FSX and run much smoother.
@kohmy20365 жыл бұрын
You're using Firefox as well... Privacy is great isn't it?

Thanks for the update. I admit it looks promising but the fact they have mention Dovetail and FSX and just goes to show nothing is straight forward in the business world. I was thinking of buying XP11 but maybe not until we know a little more and see what happens with P3d while we wait? I don't trust any of them till I see the finished product and the T&C's.

For clarity, will FSX steam cease to be supported in the distant future? Because if yhat is the case, i am gonna need Microsoft to provide me with a desktop variant cause FSX steam is the second time i had to buy FSX. I disposed of my original FSX licence since steam was more supported (fortunately i still have my FS2004 installation CDs)
