Don’t believe all you hear about California. There is a ton of us out here that are people you would sit down for a burger and beer with. Huge car scene in every part of the state. Don’t believe what the media tells you.

@tho4648 ай бұрын
@@cjones32853 Understandable. I was just saying because SF can be a crap hole and then you drive 30 minutes away and you are in rural countryside with 5 acre parcels with people who enjoy horses, maybe have a workshop out back, etc. so many across the country generalize from what they hear or see on TV and it not always true. It’s like saying El Paso is the same as Houston or San Antonio. Much different. I like many places in Texas, the people were nice, and cool places to see. But I wouldn’t move there. We hear so many bad stories about your weather, the border, power grid failures, politics dividing families, horrible traffic in Austin, high property taxes, etc. Makes Texas sound like a last resort state. But I drove it from border to border and nothing I saw bothered me. It’s all personal perspective.
@cjones328538 ай бұрын
@@tho464 I think a great deal of our problems here in Texas are due to the people that are moving here from other places…including California. Except the weather. I admit…the weather does suck. My son that’s in California wants out so bad he can’t stand it.

Your Charger is coming along great. I would ride in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and years later. Many different bikes I owned from Westlake to Decker Canyon to PCH and then to Neptune's Net. then to Ventura Those Canyons were fun to ride.

That Charger is going to be sweet! I'm happy for you guys. You definitely brought that thing back from the dead! And Gold will be killer. Not many gold ones out there. Everyone does black or blues or reds. I picture gold with black vinyl top and black tail panel and grill and black interior. Maybe a black tail stripe. Ok enough about my dream car.....😂

I used to go to Neptunes Net a lot. One of the cooks on the seafood side used to call out food ticket numbers in a thick Mexican accent like …”Order 39 seefoo sigh.” Plus they used to make their clam chowder with Campbell’s clam chowder soup mixed in with more fresh clams back in the day. Don’t know if they do that now, but regardless it was still pretty good soup. Especially if you get it in the bread bowl.

It will obviously take more work and time but why not two tone rum runner. Topside gold and the sides black. Also if you guys are in Camarillo why not stop at the harbor freight warehouse store and get a temporary air compressor until you fix the old one. Then not only will you have a backup in case the old one fails or something else happens but you can potentially use it for secondary air tools or media blast cabinet, parts washer, etc..
@SabotageGarageUSA8 ай бұрын
I love me some Harbor Freight. The Icon sets have taken the place of the Craftsman tools. The brake bleed kit, cooling system vacuum, and combustion gas/head gasket test kit have come in handy for this weekend wrench turner.

Something to consider for under hood would be to use a bed liner type of coating that breathes but is really tough! It would hide a lot of the imperfections too.

Perfect choice on the rear-end diff. I was really hoping you two would go with that. Now when people ask if it has a Dana 60?, you can say, "of course". A desired match. Nice. What an excellent video presentation with the work on the 68 Charger. So fun, entertaining and wonderful. The landscape is so different from up here in Canada and astonishing to view. Your shows are amazing. I hope you never sell that 68 charger. I love the color choice of gold. I wonder if a speckle can be added to the paint to make it sparkle in certain lighting conditions

I do have one car that I could get out there in, would be my original 1988 Mercury Cougar XR-7 with the 5.0L and 50K one the clock I just bought from a 90 year old guy that was the first owner and garage kept since day one and just back on the road since 95. Looks like brand new except for the roof, hood, and deck lid faded out from the sun lights and windows in the garage. Enjoy your ride and thanks again for sharing this with us as always!
