Fine felling work as always, Jay! I liked how that tree fell over the stump of another one and stayed balanced on it - until you felled another and knocked it off. I’m guessing it will be a play area for the family. Since I watched the reveal video first, I’m pretty confident I’m right! LOL! Thanks for sharing!
@HomesteadJay4 жыл бұрын
Hey Martin! That’s a great guess LOL you are correct haha obviously lol. Yes I thought that part was pretty cool how it landed there and stayed. I’ll be honest I wasn’t trying to do that lol it just happened hahaha thanks again for watching!

Either a pole barn or a huge play area for the kids! Great job felling the trees.

That 490 is a beast. I love all my echo product, but just picked up a stihl ms261c a couple weeks ago. Was hesitant to change saw brands since I've always used a stihl ms260 that is still going strong after almost 20 years of hard use.

The echos have come along way for sure! I love my 490 and 590!

Good morning Jay. I am just going to wait and let you tell us Why. Hahahah One thing I did notice is I always cut a deeper wedge . I hardly ever use a wedge in the back. But then I am usually cutting firewood so it is random trees. Hahahah And yes they do get hung up. Tractor makes short work of that. Keep up the good work. Have fun.. Go 603.
@HomesteadJay4 жыл бұрын
Hey Gus! Thanks for watching! I like the wedge for added security unless its clearly leaning in a certain direction! Ive had trees sit back on the saw when I was convinced they were gonna go one way hahah! The kubota has been handy in the skidding and clean up for sure! If only it had a grapple LOL Go 603!

Hey Jay, Decided to add a lean too on the side of that shop eh? Had to have a little more room? HAHA! Good cutting going on there. Lot's of great wood! Catch you later.

Hey Bruce! LOL plans always change hahah deff good wood here! Dont worry the amounts and all that stuff will be next! Thanks for watching! Hope all is well!

I'm guessing that you are building a garage/workshop. And dropping those trees is the fun part. The cleanup is the part that takes the longest and I don't enjoy. Nice drops again!

💥 I may have missed the reasoning in other videos but is there a reason you’re clearing that area. I struggled watching the beautiful white pine get cut down. I love those tall timbers. Keep on tractoring
@HomesteadJay4 жыл бұрын
Hey Ritter! Thanks for watching! I will use all the pine I can for sawmill logs so they will not be wasted! Ill cover all that in the next video or two!

Why you leaved the stump so high ???
@HomesteadJay Жыл бұрын
The excavator operator wanted a higher stump to aide in removal. Once they were uprooted I cut off whatever was left for firewood! Dont worry nothing was wasted!
