To be fair, from what I've seen from other content creators who've been absent for a long time, as well as ones that have a rare upload rate in the first place, taking breaks doesn't hurt you algorythm wise as much as people think. More likely than not, subscribers will be even more eager to click the new vid after months because they missed the creator they liked, which in return makes the new vid pop off again. In some cases even more than the last couple videos before the break. So yeah, don't think Mikey has to be too worried about the algorythm, it more than anything plays in his favour. Since him having more fun with and faith in his newer videos more likely than not reflects in the quality of it and thus makes more people wanna watch it (which is not to say his current videos are bad of course, but it's definitely more fun if he has more fun making them too)

Hey Mikey, I doubt that you will see this amongst the sea of other comments but I’m really happy that you are taking a break to take care of yourself. Your content has been helping me through my own mental health challenges for almost 4 years now, and as a student in grade school I can totally attest to similar struggles with burnout after long stretches of work. The work that you once loved turns into a chore that you find yourself avoiding. Recognizing burnout before it tarnishes the most brilliant parts of your life is a hard thing to do, and I am proud of you for stepping down from the hamster wheel to take a breather. Enjoy your sabbatical Mikey- you have taken care of so many of us for so many years, and we could not be happier that you are taking care of yourself :)
