Medical memes or Doctor Memes are a great way to get a laugh whether or not you are part of the medical community. I think that they are incredibly relatable as you can catch the humor even as a patient. I will say that some of the memes can be mean and if taken out of context can even seem rude BUT we need to understand that this is medical satire. Being able to laugh at ourselves and our troubles is a healthy habit to practice.
I really enjoy reacting to these memes and I know that there are millions more out there that are as funny. Fun fact: Narcan/Naltrexine is also used off label with dissociative symptoms, but in low dose. Took if for that for about 1 1/2 years. Made some difference but stopped taking it bc at some point stuff changed and it stopped being the thing making a difference

You jest but I actually had something like this happen to me. My primary complaint was gut pain. My medical history has IBS-M listed which primarily presents with gut pain. My GP took a urine sample and ran a pregnancy test which came back positive. He jumped straight to ectopic emergency when he could have saved everyone time, energy, money and stress if he had just asked when last I pooped. Turned out I had not pooped in four days which was applying pressure to my swelling uterus causing pain.

Fun fact: in grade eight biology class, my teacher put on a practical class where we would dissect a cow ( I think) heart. Now I am not squeamish around organs because I cook a lot and handle raw meat however I think they forgot to turn the heart fridge on because they smelt rotten and horrible with many kids throwing up, I powered through it but my group started recognising the stinky spots and not touching them It was horrible
