Ah yes, Modern Jund, Legacy Elves and Vintage Storm. The Reid duke classic. The Treidfecta if you will.

Can we get the maestro Reid Duke playing the new Hidetsugu Grixis Control? That would be truly epic! Been a fan for a long time and Richmond 2018 tourney with the older Grixis control deck he played is definitely one of my all time favourites to rewatch.

When Reid was talking about using Green Sun Zenith while Grafdiggers cage was on the field I was convinced I was understanding the cards wrong or there was some special interaction I wasn't aware of because I didn't think it was possible for him to make a mistake :P

You were asking of possible creatures to fetch with natural order? What about Karthus, Tyrant Lord of Jund in the sideboard for Murktide decks, he takes control of all dragons on the field as an ETB.

Love the Legacy content, Reid! How well do you think Elves is positioned in the overall metagame?

Chaos Elves? I haven't seen that a lot in recent years. Not having NO or the second fatty does free up some slots.
@NathanJ6662 жыл бұрын
I’m honestly a big fan of no NO’s. I’ve been slowly taking one out every few years and it feels easy to cut the last two. I think the only matchup it’s bad against is the mirror match, lol. As well as maybe reducing the amount of turn 2 wins? Obviously helps against those decks the turn clock matters but the deck doesn’t really feel like it needs them anymore. I think instead of running the Fyndhorn/Multani’s Acolyte, I’ll be reslotting in Reclamation Sage. Missed them a bunch.

In game 1 when reid is strapped for lands because of rashadan port, couldn't he have used his elves to grab dryad arbor? Then try to return it to hand if the opponent tries to rashadon it the next turn to play it untapped, and use it to get out heritige druid with the ranger?

Great content, as usual Reid. I would like to see a game/match win/loss counter though, so I can better keep track of things without watching the screen the whole time.

Am I missing something or the very first game did he fail to cast anything off the Birchlore Ranger for like 10x turns...?
@TheDestoyerZ2 жыл бұрын
Birchlore Ranger requires two elves in play to add mana. Reid has one elf and one insect play, so no mana.

02:15:05 Was this a missclick? I'm not use to him making such big blunders. If he hadn't returned the card back to his hand, he could've gained a life point! Maybe he was just tired or something?

Idc that he lost M1G2. The attack with the Nettles, then respond with Run Afoul to untap them is a pro move.

Was archon of cruelty ever a consideration as a natural order target? Seems like it could be good against murktide, but I don't know the format that well

Archon is not green
@rossmcbeath49972 жыл бұрын
No, because that's not how Natural Order works. It only fetches green creatures, otherwise people would have been getting Griselbrand or Emrakul for years.
