My best guess is after what happened to Kang’s actor, Marvel decided “Okay, we need to pick a new big bad actor who we KNOW isn’t gonna fuck up in the next several years”

Despite your opinion, you definitely can’t call this a “safe” move having RDJ for DOOM. The amount of pressure Avengers DOOMsday will have riding on it might be most we’ve seen in cinematic history 😮

Whiny people who think this is somehow bad..I'll tell you this - a great step towards improvement is the recognition of the problem. Marvel has recently realized they have f'd up, and it's clear that they're working on rebuilding their reputation

I'm thinking and hoping it's the body swap. Blind Wave's reaction could have been better if the video they watched had better editing, it was missing some context right before the reveal. RDJ had also auditioned to be Dr. Doom in the last Fantastic Four movie. HE wanted this, too, so don't go thinking it was the filmmakers alone who planned for this.
