Hey Chris, If you are tearing it down that far, you might want to consider an LS6 valley pan with integrated PCV. It's more efficient and will get rid of a lot of hard line. Considering your car is a pre-2001, that's a two video series, with the mod necessary to the block. Also, coil relocation might be an interesting mod for the future. Food for thought. Take care.

I have just one problem, idk if you might've heard about this but, since I bought the car its telling me I can't go ove 80mph, shocks inoperative and blah blah... my vette is a 2000, I thought the 80mph thing was because the previous owner replace the electronic shocks for regular ones, i started looking for any kind of plugs under the car to see where the shocks where connected and it has nothing... then I saw a video where it was showing a little module/computer and reset the computer with an obd2 kinda machine thing its located in the rear compartments of the trunk but mine didn't have anything in there.... at this point I think I will have to take it to the dealer and let them take a look at it, any ideas or something similar you might've heard or experienced? Thanks!!

If your car does indeed have Mag Ride and they replaced the shocks with non-mag shocks, you need to put a resistor in the wiring harness plugs.

Super upgrade vid My 2000 C5 convertible still bone stock due to funds being turned down by the Bank of Wife. My owning 22 Fender/Gibson guitars in my collection did not help my case. Oh yeah. My Wife owns her own 1956 white on white corvette. Full restoration was amazingly approved on the ‘56. Lol

Don't feel bad man, I did the same exact thing when I got my 92 fast intake! Thought the gold plated throttle bodies were the same! Ended up getting a used ls2 from a gto fairly cheap been great ever since.

Great video man! I just upgraded my front shocks to Z06 shocks, also replaced wheel bearing hubs and sway bar links, break pads and rotors, it all started when I thought "I should change the sway bar links"... and one thing took me to another lol.

From what I continue to hear, wheel bearings are hit and miss - a lot of junk bearings being sold out there - cheap internal parts.... If yours are fine & not making any noise I strongly suggest leaving them as is. I am thinking of new motor mounts too. I think these cars (and C6) have occasional driveline "shake" under slight burnout conditions from the factory. I can see it in some of the C5 and C6 reviews even when the cars were new. It would seem like the mounts would wear and become softer over 20 years so I am VERY interested in if you could compare the old and new and actually try to flex them on the bench to see what your observations are as far as how worn the old ones feel. And of course - you 2 week review of the mounts once you get back on the road and put a few miles to them. Appreciate the C5 Content! Cheers - Toys.

Awesome!!! Back in action brother!!! Hey Chriss, do you know if the 98 c5 Vette with the F45 suspension came from factory with a lower ride height on front than the other corvette suspention options? My brother also have a C5 but his is the 2004 24hr Lemans edition and the ride height on front is a lot higher than mine c5. Dont know if my car was lowered by the previous owner.
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
I doubt it came lower from the factory. It’s really easy to lower them on the stock bolts.

Hey Chris!! Absolutely love all the info and Corvette videos. I have a C5 vette fully stock. Really wanting to start a channel. Do you consider a channel is something I can do on the side? Do you dedicate to it full time? Just getting some feelers. Thank youb
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
Really depends on what you want out of it. If you just want to document for your own sake, that’s one thing. Don’t do it with the intent to make money. It takes a long time and a lot of dedication to make any considerable amount of real money.
@erikmontijano63044 жыл бұрын
Thank you Chris! I’m super out going with cars. If I can do something better I will. I have 5 cars, C5 vette, 03 TJ wrangler, 98 TJ wrangler, a 98 Cherokee, and a 98 chevy. All American cars which I believe are popular and sold in large quantities around the US. Maybe there’s a lot of videos to be made? I would like to consider to do it for money but I do this besides the point. Maybe something could happen from all of it? You dedicate great time and effort in your videos and I admire that. I appreciate any and all your info!!

Why not get it over with and have a A&A Vortech pro charger installed? It comes with new injectors.Bang,done! Of course you might have bought an 02-04 because they used LS 6 intake manifold and block.The stock valves and valve springs can handle the boost as long as you don't go crazy. I also opted a tune on 91 octane.A Cam alone,isn't worth it,would only gain 50 hp. and Cost dosen't justify, But you might consider .370 - .411 Diff gears.If I hadn't supercharged my '02 I would have gone that route.The Corvette community sticks with the .342 gears with the procharger,on the street.Gear guys don't recommend the .411 gears with the SC.might get away with .370 but Im satisfied as it is.Unless you are strictly drag racing and put drag slicks on,but It is an every day driver and if I get caugt in the rain,no problem with my NittoG2's on the rear.I try to run 25 psi.Slicks are no good at all in the rain.Im not changing wheels and tires every other day. The yellow Mongoose.

You must be new to the channel. Welcome. Check the description below for my full mods list. I don’t feel like spending $10k on a SC.

It’s a hobby car. What does it matter what I do or don’t do with it? I get paid money to make the videos, and the money goes into the car, then I make more video, and more mods....people spend 3 million dollars on a hypercar and it gets driven 20 miles a year.
