How much time did you wait between the different types of paint? I went with the 30 minute drying time on the can and just had both coats flake off when I went to see if the texture coat was dry.

I notice that when you was unscrewing the oil filter you made a mess. I use a empty 64 ounce foam cup. I got mine from a gas station. Just cover the oil filter with your tall foam cup and squeeze and turn the cup to remove and let the old filter drop in the foam cup. Absolutely no mess

Thanks! Educational, helpful and you do a great job of narrating with clarity! (BTW: I've done all this disassembly in an effort to change out my dead turn signal flasher. Still unsuccessful at this point in seeing / finding it, so you can imagine how jealous i am that yours is hanging out from under the dash in plain sight at the 6:43 mark! Agghh!) I appreciate the suggestion for flat-black paint treatment on the fake speaker covers. I will follow suit.

I just picked up my first ever C 4 a 1994. I was really lucky to find her locally here in Eastern North Carolina from the 2nd. owner. 38,000 original miles on her. Red paint,convertible with a black top and gray leather . I’m really excited to start driving but plan on doing some preventative maintenance first nothing major. Always garaged and out of the elements. Years ago I had a 61 and 2 stunning 64 coupes. Approaching 74 years old in December I was actually glad she’s automatic! lol I am so glad I found your channel. Have watched a number of videos and definitely impressed. Thanks so much for all the great content. I realize you’ve probably moved on to something different by now but will continue to comment on my ownership and experience. Best Regards Bill

My concern is "If" those were genuine Bosch III EV1.3 injectors or Fake Chinese knockoffs . Did they have 1 or 2 slots on the top? See video by the only reliable place to get injectors by Fuel Injector Connection called : (Fuel Injector Connection Comparison of Real Bosch 42LB to Chinese Knockoff) They have been the only reliable injector rebuild ers for 16+ yrs, & were the company that posted injector video 1st on YT. Now these fake injectors even have Bosch part numbers & Bosch insignia stamped on them! Hopefully the previous owner bought genuine Bosch Injectors & whoever cleaned them for you was able to verify if they were real.......

Great video as always 👍🏼 Funny that people criticise certain engineering decisions. A lot goes on when designing a car, specially from scratch like the C4 was. Things change and adapt as the car “evolves” and then comes a new generation

Your QuickJack's are on the wrong side of the car. The way you have them would be for a rear engine car. I enjoy your video's, they have been informative to me with working on my C4.

If you look closely in Chris' video, you can see that his door open/close plunger hasn't deployed entirely. It's not completely stuck in, but is depressed enough into the door that it's preventing the door hatch button from working.
@wallstreetwill1983
@wallstreetwill1983 27 күн бұрын
My C4 side door button stopped working altogether. The door open/close plunger must have gotten partially stuck in the closed position because when I manually worked the plunger in and out a few times the back hatch button worked every time. Probably a good idea to lube it w/something once a year (I used WD-40).

Question for everyone. Looking at a 1995 C4 has 150,000 miles on it . The valve guides are being replaced the rest of the car is in pretty good shape but should I walk away from a car like this? Can purchase it for 5000$. What you think.
