My god, it's like I've been transported back to the 1980's again! Hope MAG do their brilliant stuff, like they did back then.

This surprised me, TFL had the intelligence to not charge bikes the congestion charge fee and at least more modern bikes were ULEZ exempt. The charge would make me consider using the other bridges to cross the river making the journey longer therefore increasing emissions (assuming that's one reason for the charge). The lack of bus lane usage is just the icing on the garbage cake.

I recently sold my Z900RS, and I was going to buy a 1990's / early 2000 model of a ZX6R. But I've noticed these bikes are subject to the £12.50 ULEZ fee. I'm bloody so annoyed. I'm currently stuck on two wheels, using a mountain bike, and I'm not happy.

Don’t worry, once we’re all on bicycles they’ll start charging them too…

TFL is in massive debt since the COVID-19 lockdowns. So any revenue making schemes would be on the table in my opinion ...?

Mayor Boris Johnson agreed to slash TFL's budget by £700 million. That was before covid. Sadiq Khan did a great job sorting out the financial mess Boris left, and then covid blew a massive hole in his budgets.

All charges must be paid with cash. That’s the only way to halt this. They want automatic paying via anpr rfid etc.

When I lived in Cornwall, I paid several visits to the local council offices, on my motorbike, I was subjected to the wrath of a car park attendant because my mate had parked in the same space as me, 2 motorbikes = 1 car, no, 1 vehicle per parking space,,, w,t,a,f,? Councils and councillors,? you'll never get a straight answer from either of them.

Did I miss something, was there a huge outcry of public demand for the construction of the Silvertown tunnel? I believe there was more interest in a bridge crossing further down the river, although many locals were not happy with new access roads and the extra traffic generated. Thank you for the information regarding the Blackwall tunnel tolls and campaign. khan is probably working on a plan to toll all bridges in London?? He’s certainly working on a plan to charge vehicles per mile, although he’ll probably charge per Kms to generate more cash.

Seems like they actively want to avoid making any other bridge on the east side of the river unless it's up by London.

Good work, MAG, but this is more fighting dogma (like in Bath; BANES parking charges). There is unlikely to be any justification, modelling or logical ratioanle for any of the policy decisions here and I bet you will struggle to get coherent and sensible answers to the reasons why TfL writes a transport policy and then fails to adopt it in implementing new road (or tunnel) works. Dogma Dogma Dogma It's dogma all the way down.

Well done for continuing to fight the thieving Khan & his champagne socialist clowns . As a motorcycle club ( WLHR), we support MAG & all the hard work you do behind the scenes to help all fellow motorcyclists. Keep up the good work 👊

@@DroolingGargoyle The long term aim is charge per mile, firstly in London due to the saturation of cameras but it will expand. The politicians will still continue the road tax and fuel duties, just another layer of taxation. Although the politicians will claim any charges as expenses, “we can’t use public transport for security!”
