Another brilliant vlog. :) Those stations do look very nice, I've only been through them on TPE and EMR services heading toward Manchester or Liverpool from Leicester with changes at Sheffield of course. :) Also I had my first ride on a sexy class 331 yesterday and I quite like those units. :)
@Sim0nTrains3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Reuben. The are very nice stations, even the line when EMR and TPE used. Remember catching a Northern service from Hazel Grove and used that line to get to Chinley. Those Class 331 are awesome as well.

Class 769s aren’t as bad. I think that the Class 769s are wonderful trains since they have been upgraded with diesel engines. And the Class 195 and Class 331 Civity are very nice trains. Plus I do like the sound of the Class 331 traction motors.
@Sim0nTrains3 жыл бұрын
Class 769s are just Class 319 with batteries/diesel engine underneath. Thanks Andrew

Great video Simon. Is the signal box at Hazel Grove still in use today?
@Sim0nTrains3 жыл бұрын
I think it still is in use, the line between Hazel Grove and Buxton still has signal boxes

Hi Simon Japanese Knotwood is a very invasive and destructive plant, it can cause absolute chaos to building foundations. Why there's a trail site at the station heavens only knows, maybe they are trailing ways to destroy it as it's very prevalent alongside the railways. Unlike Giant Hogwood it's sap is not dangerous.
@Sim0nTrains3 жыл бұрын
Guessing that's why the keep out sign was there if it does chaos to the building foundations, But that is strange. it's like a disaster waiting to happen, Thanks Travelling by Train.
