1:22 Alagad ng Musika... disciples of music... 1:40... Anong paki nyo... Kung "Magbabato".... "Magbabato kami ng Letra"... This is interesting because in Philippines the word "Magbabato" is usually coined as person selling Crack... Then again the LITERAL MEANING OF MAGBABATO is "a person who throws"... So the "Magbabato kami ng Letra"... Its a metaphor for People Throw letters or Lyrics... Rapping... The jist of the rap is "we dont care of what you think of our style in throwing lyrics and making music... Because we will continue doing it.

LOL I don't listen to rap this was a fun listen. The play of words in the chorus is funny too. "Bato" literally means rock, but is also a nickname for crystal meth here in the Philippines. "Mag babato" literally means to use the rock, usually throw a rock/something, but when you think of the crystal meth reference you'd think they are doing drugs... until the last line they add "Mag babato kami ng letra" which brings it back to the original definition that means to throw letters/words.
@meagers28054 жыл бұрын
man, how this puts into perspective just how a whole lot is lost in translation.. i can kind of get why they'd think the beginning was "just okay", i guess just from how it sounds and the phonetics of it all, rap is partly about control of how words are sounded after all, but how they may never have the ability to appreciate the actual genius of the wordplay here kind of makes me think of what i'm missing out on with all the anime and manga i consume that's been translated from their original source
