I still can’t believe how much detail you painted on these Kevin. I’m ready to play another in this time period, fascinating as always my friend.

Buff, what a huge amount of figures! Very detailed research and careful painting. It is certainly a very interesting period, with all the aesthetics of the baroque. I also think that due to the tactical limitations of the period it is ideal for great battles without requiring inhuman game times. I wish you lots of fun!

@@Corvinuswargaming1444 thank you so very much. I have not done one in awhile because I have been in Europe. Just got back. I need to put up a few more for sure. I do have a nice Cossack tartar army I should upload. You would like that. I’m currently working on my Crimean War Armies. The Russians are on. The painting table now.

Magnifique! The army certainly seems well-researched; there are some wonderful in-depth article series in those old WI issues that describe regiments and their appearance in great detail.

Yes, I dug up a lot of those articles printed them out and use them as painting guides and just trying to understand the flavor of the period. Some of those old articles even help me to adjust the rules that I’m using.

What a lovely army! Really admire the amount of research you did as well. I've painted 6mm and 15mm myself but never tried 10mm. Your video has got me interested to try it some time. Maybe when I jump into my next new period.

I can tell you the painting was not too difficult once you got used to it, but you could paint a lot of figures and it doesn’t take up much room. I was surprised. All of these figures took up 1/3 of what it does in 15.

Don’t worry about jumping around Kevin. Your collections are a feast for the eyes and so any order you show them in is just fine with me 😂 I loved the comment about the guy doing an about face. I am doing an ECW Epic project using Warlord figures. It was only when I was doing a review that I realised I had one whole rank of musketeers facing the wrong way! The front rank were facing forwards but the rear rank facing backwards🙄

Awesome Kevin! I have also watched the Allied Episode, Wonderful armies. I love Pendraken figures, have just finished a League of Augsburg project. One you get your eye in, they are nice to paint. Did the rules/adaptions work well for the size of the game? Many Thanks 👍

Thank you for your note and yes, but I would make some more adjustments as I made a few mistakes, but I’ll get it eventually. I was going to make a small video of the game. It was massive and perhaps a little bit too large.

Thank you very much for your comments. Most of my armies are 15 mm of course and it’s surprising how only 5 mm is a huge difference. It was pretty epic. I have to say. We just finished a battle with them and I’ve never seen so battalions.

Hey Kevin, great video as ever. I'd be curious to know what you are working on at the moment? You said it took you a night to do a unit or two. How did you find that compared to 15mm? Slower, faster?
@thekrausecollection15mmmin533 ай бұрын
Hi dear friend in the West 😂 Well I prefer 15mm tbh. I struggled at first because they were so small. I wanted to put the same level of detail as I do on the 15mm. It did not work. I had to change my style. I painted too much. It filled the table in three lines. Totally massive. I will stick to 15s going forward although it was nice. Space wise and the volume it takes is highly advantageous. But I enjoy the balance in scale 15s bring. I just like the little fellows. 🥴 What am I working on now? Well, it is a massive massive project. I’m working on the American Civil War. I had painted a Civil War army on both sides 30 years ago. I then bought newer figures from old glory and painted another army 20 years ago then I to it with very nice blue moon figures, and some more old glory figures. I ended up having three collections of confederates and three of union. All based for fire and fury they just didn’t look good anymore. So I have now amalgamated all of the army, put on new flags repainted many of them, put them on 40 x 40 bases, they are now looking like an army that I would enjoy. It’s probably about 18,000 figures that I have been working on since April. Yes that many. 🥹 I’m almost finished and will be putting it up both of them on a KZbin hopefully before I leave for Europe, which is next week. I’ll be gone for several months. Visiting Battlefield, of course🫣

You know I’ve wanted to do that because I didn’t write it down. I’m going to have to go in and do the full research. I started writing it on the bottom of the stands and then I lost track of it and just kept painting like a fiend. I’ll have to go back in and look. Because I should have them marked at the bottom of the stands just even for me I did all of the research painstakingly and then forgot to write it on the bottom of all the stands. I only wrote I think on a third.🥴🫣🫣
