This is the coolest thing ever! I feel so happy to see a man of God, a priest, doing both his duty to the Lord and at the same time, not forgetting his passion with skate boarding. He is so good at it and I had to stop what I was doing just to watch him do cool tricks. I love that Mother Mary's image is imprinted on his skateboard too. Such a cool way to evangelise. I truly believe that he will attract so many youth because of this. ❤❤❤

Fr. Chris, thank you for this very interesting presentation on priesthood, I love it because it is Jesus who called someone to become His priest. If not of the priest, I wouldn’t be able to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus who is the life of the soul. I believe that without the Holy Eucharist,it’s the greatest sadness in life. My sincere gratitude to all the priests. Thanks to Fr. Tim for sharing his beautiful and holy experience as a priest, the joy in his face is radiating and inspiring. Thanks to Br. Stephen for relating to us the spiritual life and journey of St. Teresa of Avila on how to reach the Interior Castle in complete union with God the King. Her hard labor with St. John of the Cross in founding the Discalced Carmelite convent is a real spiritual purgation of oneself in total abandonment to God. She wants the Nuns to become spiritual warriors and not weaklings. Thanks to Bro Gabriel Cortes for his unique way of getting the attention of students by using his talent in skateboarding. When fully happy and attentive, students are interested to learn the Catholic faith, practice and live it. Fr. Chris, for all the holy treasures you always share to us, this time my endless thank you and my endless prayers for all the generous and thoughtful Team united in heart and spirit with you. May God continue to pour upon each one of you His abundant blessings and wisdom. Glory and Praise to God forever!

I remember learning about the liturgical vestments and colors during altar serving. It was always a treat to wear a different colored cord to match priest, though my church only had two purple cords so if there were 3 servers, someone ended up being the odd white cord out 😂 They’ve since switched to the black cassock and surplice, so later servers won’t understand that struggle. Good for Br. Cortes in using a passion of his in a way that evangelizes to young Catholics. Whenever young seminarians and priests interacted with my youth group, whether via a sport or simple playground game, it always made us more receptive to them and we always looked forward to what they had to say afterwards. I think it also helps those of us who aren’t called to the cloistered, quiet, meditative, solemn spiritual live see that the talents God gives us can still reach people in some way. 😊 Kudos to Father Tim for discerning God’s call for him and becoming a priest! May he be blessed with many years of ministry and pastoring 😇🙏 And ditto to all the other Marians and priests!

Priestly celibacy was instituted at The Second Lateran Council (1139) That's why our sister Church, the Eastern Orthodox have married Presbyters. (The Church split in 1064) Priestly celibacy was all I knew of as kid, and it made sense. It's also one aspect off the office that drew me to it. I felt Called to the Priesthood as a kid, but that didn't happen. Long story.

Thank you Father Chris for this happy and informative episode on the priesthood. I loved every segment, and I especially loved Father Tim’s reflection on, as a new priest, consecrating the bread and wine when he celebrates Mass. I am so grateful for the amazing teaching and understanding that you and your brothers have given me about the Mass, and perhaps? it’s just that the air-conditioning kicks on in church during the Concluding Doxology but I am going to attribute the gentle breeze I now feel at that point to the fluttering of 😇😇😇 😇 wings. I hope that your travels are going well and I look forward to your including your travel experiences in your homilies and talks when you return. Keeping you and your family in prayer as always. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🩸💧
