Who ever "killed" Pac just made him more alive. Pac inspired not only rappers like: Kendrick, Cole, Nas, Gang starr etc. Pac inspired the whole world with his poetry and philosophy about life problems and how to keep faith. I have seen so many people inspired by this man is mind blowing, including myself. Everyday i go thru depresion and that horrible chest pain for no reason sometimes and all i think is how i just want to die so bad to be free from this curse but everyday theres Pac telling me to never give up, to keep my head up, that for every dark night theres a brighter day. He made music i can relate to, music that not only teaches me but makes me stronger.

As a Pac fan myself, I cannot understand the Pac hate amongst some of my generation. (I'm 18 years old). He is arguably one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. He was able to tell stories in his rhymes. He was a revolutionary in his own right. If he was still alive, I think he would've made a bigger impact than the impact he currently has.
@jacccs7 жыл бұрын
Aaron Ford I guess people think he's only remembered so fondly because of him being shot. I just can't work out if he would be on the GOAT race if he didn't die, or if he'd have ruined his image doing something fucking stupid.

PAC is THE most important artist in hip hop. Not the best (although you could make a strong argument), not the greatest (again, could make an amazing argument) but the most vital to the genre. Was huge in raps 'golden era' and transcendent as not only a musician but as an individual. If you haven't already PLEASE go listen to his music. Analyze it. Watch his interviews and read books about him, new stories, testimony from friends/family. The man is an icon

Hey Justin, ever considered doing a piece on the effects of mental health in the rap/hiphop world? You’ve touched on the subject a few times in past breakdowns, but I think it could be an interesting subject for a whole breakdown. I mean just look at the effects it has on cats like Kid Cudi, DMX and Kevin Gates, let alone all the other artists who’ve struggled with addiction, depression, stress, and anger management. P.S., I know you’re probably getting a TON of breakdown suggestions, so I just want to make sure you understand that you should be doing the pieces that YOU want to do, not us. At the end of the day, everyone here is going to love whatever breakdown you post, so you might as well do the ones that you’re genuinely interested in/passionate about. Keep up the quality content!

Tupac is the 🐐 because of his diversity. This man can make thoughtful songs like "Keep Ya Head Up" and turn around a make party song like "How Do You Want It." His ability to make hit records and create thought envoking songs put him levels above every other rapper. Hip Hop isn't just about lyricism, the struggle, partying, etc. It's a combination of all these things. Its the culture. It's what bring us as black people together. Pac is one of the most diverse rapper that Hip Hop has ever witness. No one compares to him because of his diverse ability. I like to listen to thought provoking music, but at the same time I like to jam and have a good time too. Stop limiting Hip Hop to one aspect.

Why do people keep comparing our "fast food" rappers of today to the "restaurant" rappers back in the day? I mean, it just doesn't make any sense to compare Lil Yachty to someone like Tupac, Nas, and Biggie. You need to compare our greats today (Kendrick Lamar, Chance, Joey Bada$$) to the greats before them, not our fun, party/club rappers.
